My first attempt at an LP. I decided to do the only decent Simpsons game I'm aware of (aside from the arcade game, but I'll admit I suck at brawlers).
Playing the SNES version of Krusty's Super Fun House. I'm thinking about also playing the GB version as it has different rooms, as I remember.
Never played the NES, SMS, GG, Genesis versions. I'll check them to see if any of them are significantly different.
Expirementing with various recording options, this was done by using Windows Media Encoder's screen capture with ZSNES and recording microphone input.
Not sure if I should just record future videos in ZSNES and post-commentate?
Yeah, I probably have a whinny-sounding voice, but it could be worse.
The first microphone I used had nasty static interference that was pretty much impossible to avoid.

Re: Hi Kids! Let's play Krusty's Fun House?
I watched some of Episode 1, Part1 of your LP.
First thing I noticed was your framerate. You should try to get a decent framerate. If you can get it up to 25 frames per second, you should be ok.
yeah, wow, that's all I have to say XD

Too lazy to be creative here

Good game. I have this game on my channel as well and, despite what it looks like, I really like this game.

Hey, I remember this game from my childhood, it was really not that bad! :D
I'll have a look at your videos :)

My other option is to use ZSNES built-in recording option and do commentary post-play.
Though I still have haunting memories of ZSNES and Rocky & Bullwinkle (mostly to ridicule it for its Kaizo-type difficulty). The footage has been completely recorded. Just not sure how I'll go about editing it.
Well, I played it through, with the only tool assistance being a savestate at the beginning of each level.
The final video was something like 15 minutes. I found it de-synced when I recorded with sound. About 2 minutes into the video, Rocky just barely dodged a hit. But with sound, he'd take the hit and later die when he shouldn't have. Didn't want to re-do it because I had reached the boss with no idea what to do, and I didn't want to re-play the level 10-15 minutes each of several attempts while I try to figure out. Even after an FAQ, it still took like 15 lives (at least 3 more times playing the level, on top of like 8 failed attempts).
But I suppose it won't be as bad here. IIRC from last I played Krusty, around level 3 is when I'll probably start getting game overs, resulting in me need to stop the recording anyways.

Level 2 is kind of dangerous too, especially the yellow indestructible machines that shoot lasers.

Re: Hi Kids! Let's play Krusty's Fun House?
I've recorded Level 2, but I think I may do a retake.
I think I need less game volume and/or me to speak louder. Kinda dull commentary, but I hope that's not a problem.
If it does take off a bit of the surprise factor, but I suppose it'll help as you see me walk around less.
Also, I commented that the music sounds way off, but it seems that for some reason, level 2's music was changed completely between the two US versions (1.0 and 1.1).
I was using 1.1, but I think the music is reason enough to do a retake. I think 1.0's music is cooler, and it's the one I remember.
Take a listen

Re: Hi Kids! Let's play Krusty's Fun House?
Yeah, the weather kinda gave me a cold, so I wasn't really up to LP.
Pretty bad that my second LP video is already an intermission, but I wanted to do a random game video to check if I'm up to it again.
Flipull for the Famicom. With mediocre camera work, and a kinda abrupt end because the battery ran out (I was expecting the low battery symbol to mean more than about a minute's worth left.
)

(still I love the game's ridiculously minimalist cover :D )

Re: KingMike LPs
Playing some more Wario World. My commentary is probably lame, but I hope it's at least better than the hack is.

Hope the video quality turns out okay.
My method here was to use ZSNES' movie dumping while simultaneously recording commentary with Windows Media Encoder.
I tried merging them in Windows Movie Maker, but it seems I had to record the movie once with just those, then make another pass where I cut/chipmunk when necessary. So, it probably got compressed a couple times.

Re: KingMike LPs
I play with recording video from a real console. I try playing some SMB3.
It seems my capture software recorded the PC audio and merged it with the video (I was expecting I'd have to do it myself, since the card only has a video jack). So I had turned up pretty loud, and I'm hoping that's the cause of the slightly crappy quality music.
I know I can use ZSNES and dub commentary in later, but I wonder if this is acceptable as an alternate?

I think I'd also be limited to 30 fps, though the only game that gave me real trouble that I've tried was Darius Twin (the second boss' giant lasers would just interlace out of existence, resulting in seemingly random deaths).
