Looking for input/error checking in flash game

Post by TGWabba »

I'm making a Flash game and I'd like input on what I have so far.

I'm looking to get input on the looks of the game, the levels, and the character animations. Then the controls, the moving, jumping, attacking and menus. I'm also looking for errors and typos.
I'm tempted to tweak the attack animations. Really any input is helpful.
The music is just a stand in until my friend gets some better recording equipment.

The story so far in the game goes as follows:
A mysterious event has caused the world to lose consciousness and you awaken in almost a void. After collecting some strange objects you are contacted by a being calling itself the Goddess of Order. She tells you that your mind has been torn apart and these things are stray memories which will restore you. These memories are not your memories but ones owned by other people.
Post anything either here or on deviantArt.
I all ready know that the level 4 button goes to level 5. I'll fix that in a bit

It works fine for me, there is a bit of lag ocassionally but I'll assume that it my computer being stupid as it always is.

I really like the way the level shifts about after each memory fragment and that different colours represent different people.

I'd say make the death of the enemies just a few frames longer and sometimes it felt as if the hitboxes for them were slightly odd (I'd be hurt slightly further away than expected)

Other than that it would be nice to just hit space to go to the next level rather than clicking and I noticed that replaying level 2 from the menu gave me my sword before I technically had it.

Great work so far though :)

Thanks for the input guys. I actually had a more up to date version so I've now changed the link now.

I remember tweaking the hit boxes semi recently so that may already be fixed.
I don't remember if I check anything about the sword appearing too early though. I'll have to remember to check that.

I probably should make it so that the game can progress after each level with a key but right now how its coded it will not let me work it like that. I know how to do it though.
