Getting paid... to be a student... at a university that's so well known that even I've heard of it from across the Atlantic. Wow what's the catch?

However, good luck!
The catch is you have to get into Yale haha.

But the interview went pretty well. He kept telling me how important my research topic is, how many good courses there are for me to take, and how I should take certain courses that he teaches. And how interested he was in my application.

So... I've got a decent chance?
I'm totally late to the party, but gooooood luuuuuck! The talkhaus is rooting for you!

aaaaaaaaaa

I had an interview for a 'Layout Artist' animation position earlier today.
I'd like to think it went well, except it was mostly him talking and giving me information about the company and what's happening and I didn't get the chance to say a whole lot. But he did seem to like my animation and plans to refer me to the 2D director of the studio (he himself is the 3D guy) and may send me a 3D layout test this week as well.

I really hope this turns out well because aaaaaaaaaa

Good luck to Horikawa too!

I think I will call the screenshot LP here. There is a clear disinterest in this particular activity so I am choosing to move on to other projects and activities. I have been talking to Kongregate asking for participation in collaboration of a tri web competition tournament. Kongregate has expressed interest and once I have a definitive answer, that will be the next project that I will load out. I'm disappointing the screenshot LP was not very well received, but, I must assume that it is because I have failed, as a host, to make the activity fun for the participants.

Today during P.E. we were playing hockey. I was trying to stop someone from advancing into the goal and was running right in front of him. He was running faster, though and I got pushed over and fell on my wrist. It got really swollen so I got a small cast for the rest of the school day. I could still move my wrist around so everyone was convinced that it was a really bad sprain. After school, however we went and and looked at an ultrasound and a couple X-rays, and it turns out I fractured my wrist/arm! It's still in place and everything so that's good. I should get the cast off in 4-5 weeks.

What's worse is that I'm left handed, and it was my left wrist that was injured, so haha… that's gonna be fun. Typing this with one hand.

Damn contact sports...

Oh jeez. I was lucky enough when I broke my forearm that it was my non-dominant hand.

Best of luck over the coming weeks mang, it's going to be annoying.

I sometimes wonder how much of a pain it would become it I were to suddenly lose control over my dominant hand. It's not too pleasant.

Good luck out there.
EDIT: You know I think it's only nice if I just say the exact same to both Horikawa and Swirlybomb:
So good luck to you all!

The school board that governed my old high school is being sued by the ACLU, which is kinda crazy! I'm super glad I got out of that place.

Yuuuup, that's it.

I attended a different school in the district, and while I never saw anything quite this bad, I definitely saw stuff in the same vein. Apparently there were 77 total complaints lobbied against the school board and they never took any action. I'm not surprised at all. Disgusted, sure, but not surprised.

There are dumb people in all corners of the world from what I read, but man, the United States sure does a great job of having a nice mix of wackos!

In totally different news, I finally decided to learn how to do an pull off the Minus World glitch right in SMB1. Now to hope I can get that infinite 1-Up trick done the same way. NES Remix has taught me that I'm not so good at that one.

I will never understand why people insist of teaching religion in public school. Leave that to religious education classes or private religious schools.

Also, I updated my Sound Card Drivers, and now I can enable Dolby Pro Logic IIx or DTS NEO:PC. This was unexpected.EDIT: Apparently this is because my Audio Channel settings were reset to 2 channels instead of 6 channels.

US just in general is really bad with handling religion.

Am I in the south I wonder? Either the south or the west for sure, or southwest, haha.

Luckily I haven't seen much of anything, the only thing of note being that a math teacher of mine got really peeved when I wouldn't stand up for the pledge, this being around the time when I was feeling out the whole religion thing. Can't remember if I was sent to the principal or not.

I have a wonderful family that is just casually religious, so they didn't force their views on me at all and just let me figure it out on my own.

Of course, we see stories just like the one above all the time online. Which is saddening. Groups like WBC not helping matters and whatnot.

I still enjoy living in the south for the most part... though I do see a ton of narrow minded people. For instance my brother is a homophobe, my uncle and grandpa are racist, and my grandma is a crazy religious woman. It's especially awkward during the holidays when they all want to hold hands and pray :/

Times like these makes me glad to live in The Netherlands.
Sure, we have our fair share of crazies*, but they're seemingly not as prominent as they are in some other countries. Or at the very least, from what I hear about elsewhere comparative to what I hear coming out of this place.

*And then again; which country doesn't?

Pretty much the same here. Glad to be in a country that doesn't really take religion seriously as a whole.
