Wait until you get to 71 minutes of cutscenes in a row, uninterrupted by gameplay, one of which is 27 minutes long. That's two Guinness World Records right there.Horikawa Otane wrote:We timed it in Skypehaus. It's 7 minutes before you get to play. Not that bad, actually...Bwarch wrote:Dat cutscene heavy intro tho.

I'm interested to hear what you have to say about that game after playing it.Horikawa Otane wrote:I'm ready for long cutscenes in a Metal Gear game lol. I look forward to them, tbh. So far MGS4 seems super great.
I've only seen a longplay, but I remember it was special.
Re: Twitter Thread
I like playing the game. I just think it doesn't let you play it enough.Horikawa Otane wrote:Smart of me or not, I've started MGS4.

I just bought my first legit game in a long while. I mean, granted, it was published in 2009, but that's pretty dang recent by my standards.

Re: Twitter Thread
Borderlands 1, because I play very few fps games and there's been that whole media circus surrounding the pre-sequel release. I've been watching Northernlion and Rockleesmiles play that and thought, "Well, dang, the series looks pretty cool. Maybe I ought to give it a shot." I also needed something to play with friends, so there's that too. Capitalism, ho!
Kinda hoping I can exploit the rpg elements to balance out the fact that I'm terrible at first person shooters, haha.

Don't worry, ever since the first game the "early game" is just as hard as the "late game".TheVulpineHero1 wrote:Borderlands 1, because I play very few fps games and there's been that whole media circus surrounding the pre-sequel release. Multiplayer, on the other hand, is One Shot Land... for the enemies, not for you. The best tip I can give ya: NEVER walk alone in Multiplayer.
Also, if you are really not good at all in FPS games, do NOT pick Mordecai. Sniper classes are meant to be played for more skilled players. A safe pick for beginners is Roland IMO.

All this talk of Metal Gear is getting me hyped for the PS3 I plan to buy. Gonna get dat Legacy Collection. :3
Only one I've ever played is the original Metal Gear (Famicom version), and I never got very far.

I'm probably going to buy a PS4 within the next few months just for Bloodborne.
I am hype for that game. It's basically going to be the only reason I'll buy a PS4 for right now.

Re: Twitter Thread
My Wii U is probably the only new-gen console I'll care at all about for years to come.
It's taken me this long to get a PS3/360, and I'm probably not going to get a 360 anytime soon.
...That reminds me, I have a copy of MvC3 for 360 that I planned to give to a friend of mine for his birthday, but then he got sick on his birthday and I never remembered to give it to him and then he moved and then we kinda drifted apart and haven't spoken in a couple years. Wat do now?

Re: Twitter Thread
I don't see me getting a PS4 anytime soon myself. The 3DS, Wii U, and games from the past that I have yet to beat are serving me well enough for the time being.
As for your drifting friend, Sentinel, you should check up on him and see if he wants his game back. I think it's only fair to him, pending you still have a way to get in contact.

I don't really have a way to contact him, but I could easily find out. I have considered it.
(Here's your birthday present from three years ago. Enjoy.

Re: Twitter Thread
I doubt A2XT would even beat MGS1. EoW6 could take "longest in a platformer" for sure though. The sequences at the start of Spyro 2 & 3 would beat it for total length, but they're sequences and not one big cutscene.Jesuiscontent wrote:These records were beat by A2XT recentlyDoctor Shemp wrote: Wait until you get to 71 minutes of cutscenes in a row, uninterrupted by gameplay, one of which is 27 minutes long. But of course facts aren't welcome.

Did my first paid tutoring session today.
I need to make this a real job. It's actually interesting and rewarding. Not what I want to do for the rest of my life, but a huge step forward.

Re: Twitter Thread
I am going to freaking skin my cat if he doesn't quit his shit. Despite the litterboxes being clean he has pissed on the exact same fucking blanket three days in a row. It's seriously getting old. We've had issues with him occasionally peeing on things other than the litterboxes ever since he had a bladder infection a few years ago but it's normally a sporadic occurrence, like once every few months. And usually only when the litterboxes are especially dirty. Which isn't the case right now and it's happening not just sporadically but every god damned day.

Man, my reading comprehension skills failed me on that last post. Uh... Since you got it for him (instead of borrowed it like my mind read), I guess you own MvC3, even if it's for a console you don't own. Guess you could still try contacting him, but yeah, that would be odd.

Re: Twitter Thread
It doesn't seem to be. Other than that he's acting no different than normal. If he was sick then he'd be a lot less energetic than normal which he isn't. (He's by far the most active of our cats by a very large margin so it would be really noticeable if he was being less energetic.)Whimsical Calamari wrote:i'd take him to the vet. that might be a sign of a medical problem.

Re: Twitter Thread
Despite that, I know cats peeing where they know they're not supposed to can be a sign of serious issues.
Re: Twitter Thread
I seriously doubt it's any sort of health issue. It just seems to be a behavioral one. And we can't really afford to take him to the vet to be sure either way.

I'm going back to a single avatar. It's probably either going to be Nazrin or Chesnaught, unless some other avatar was more liked. Any opinions?
