Not sure if that's a good thing.

I went through a lot of my old videos and wasn't happy with I'll say 90% of them so figured I'd start over. Stupid idea probably?


Anyways here's my current problem:
Using a video capture card it gets this awkward giant black square around the screen. I'm using the VC500 Diamond One-Touch Capture Card.

I'm not sure if it's the hardware or if it's the software. If anyone can recommend me good, preferably free-ware software for recording through the capture card that would be appreciated.
