in that case, levels take up to 12 hours in world 8, there warned you in advance this time.

Either way, castle 6 didn't bother me much because I went for a cape after I died each time.

I've been watching this here and there. At first, I was a bit turned off by the commentary since it sounded like you were trying to do your own take on raocow with the way you spoke, but that criticism has faded away over time. Avoiding the essay length post, you're doing a good job with this.

You weren't recording at the time. It's a well-known fact that as soon as you hit that big red button, your skill drops immensely.

Either way, the whole "sounding like raocow" bit is mostly because I tend to talk somewhat like that anyway, and watching the man religiously has only strengthened that. I only call Charlies Charles because I was reminded of the Juggernaut at the time. Although I'm kind of lucky that this game doesn't seem to have any Yoshis because I've been calling them horses since I was 6, and I wouldn't want people to think I was being a copycat. <_< I've been trying to quell that, but come on, he IS a horse.

I think I should be done editing this level by tonight. The video AFTER it, though, contains a level that I think raocow will really like, assuming he hasn't already seen it (not like that would change the fact, but the surprise would of course not be there). Anyone who has played it should know which one I'm talking about.

I heard raocow say 'Charles' recently. I think it's clear he's copying you.

IIRC he said "Charles... lie" and then someone in the comments said he would have to call them that every single time. He didn't.

Also, it seems I lied. Rendering that video from raw to Vegas-workable took way too long (like 3 hours for 1 1/2 hours of video), so I haven't even started editing it yet. Should be up tomorrow definitely.

Don't you just love it when things wrap all the way around to being funny again?

I try. Sometimes. And then sometimes I just quit after half an hour of playing because nothing is going right.

Luckily enough, World 7 seems to be the calm before the proverbial World 8 storm.

And thus, only one level so far has given me enough trouble to make into a multi-day affair of not uploading videos.

That said, next video. Oversleeping AND Youtube sucking combined for a very late upload.

UGH... This castle. I had to use a rewind on the boss. I know you're all going to say "it's okay you deserve one" or something, but I wanted that feeling of "oh my god i finally did it!" and while that was still there it just wasn't as good.

But the recording was an hour and 48 minutes at that point, and I just couldn't do it anymore if I died.

I dunno why I'm even saying this now since this recording won't be uploaded for 2 or 3 days.

tl;dr: Bleh

Edit: Video

Anyways, start of Castle 7

Haimari sure loves hiding his ON/OFF switches. You aren't the only one who was caught out. I'm looking forward to more diabolism in the second half of this castle.

Diabolism it is then!

Part A, in which I figure stuff out, AKA the interesting one.
Part B, in which I finish the level, AKA the padded video length one.
Part C, in which I do the level without rewinds or talking, AKA the one you should probably watch.

You know, if it weren't for the glitches and occasional rough parts, Hyper 6 would be an excellent hard-hack. I'm loving the themes it has.

I fell through the yellow platforms in Satin beach Fortress way too many times. I wonder if Haimari would do some patching if they had a bug-list?

I love how the first two Bowser Stages have exactly the wrong coin rating.

7 should be more like 5
6 should be more like "No"

Yay for "take two"s because of a single enemy.

Man, I don't know how you do it. Just plugging away at this thang like it was nothing.

Don't you mean "no thing"

Also, it would be pretty hilarious if the last stage did spell out no in blue coins :p

The right stage difficulty should spell out a cheat to skip the level, because anything that happens beyond the midpoint is some of the most unfair things all put together.

Also the big castle to the right made me despair, the number of coins just made me lose any motivation I had when I said to myself "only one more level". But I must say, I approve of the graphical choice for the castle.

^When you say "right" do you mean the 6-coin stage, or "correct"? Either way, yeah the Fishing Fish Guy is terrible. I think I'll be able to get through it during this recording session since I know what I have to do (I've done everything with exactly one rewind off camera, so it's just a matter of getting it all done), but damn.

As for how I'm doing it, it's actually not all that bad. The rage moments I have in the beginning are basically there to help me get past the learning stage. Once I figure out what to do in the parts that I know I'll have to do a hundred more times, it's easy to feel better about yourself for every advance you make. That's why I was like "29/35 lives, 0 seconds of content" because I was getting annoyed that I hadn't done anything even though I was past the learning stage.

In other words, you should totally LP this one raocow. :D I'll even send you my save so you can start right here
