The Worst Robot Master Poll

Okay, so here's how it works. For one week, there will be a poll asking which Megaman is the worst. By worst, I mean hardest and generally most annoying and whoever gave you the most trouble and also worst gameplay design. Then, whichever one wins, I'll post the 8 robot masters from that game and you'll vote on that. Then it'll be unanimous that that one is the worst thing ever in all of the history of time. Anyways vote now before it's too late!

It's funny because Mega Man 7 is widely regarded as horrible.

I liked it myself, but it was one of the more frustrating games.

I cast my vote for MM1 because it had a lot of annoying stuff going on and it just wasn't as polished. Obviously it wouldn't be, as the first game in the series, but still.

I almost went for Mega Man 9 because the game was supposed to hearken back to old school NES difficulty, and was very very unforgiving with pixel-perfect jumps and rooms where you could die 50 times until you get it EXACTLY right.

But it doesn't feel like Mega Man in that sense, because most of the Mega Man games didn't have a lot of those mechanics. Some, yes (especially in the 1st one!). But they weren't screen after screen of precision jumps and insta-kills.

Megaman 3.Can't say that the game was bad,but it was the last one that I finished.Probably cuz of the fat robot boss who you have to beat in the 4 different stages,after you beat the 8 robot masters from the game.(The one who uses the powers of the robot masters from Megaman 2)Not a lot of E-tanks.Boss difficulty was fine.(Shadow man was a bit of a pain...)

But yeah...the fat robot guy was annoying.

I am currently playing a Megaman 3 hack-Megaman 3 return.For some reason is also the hardest Megaman hack I've ever played.

How is 7 winning, and how does 9 even have any votes? 9 is one of the best in the series! I think that MM8 was the worst. In order from best to least, mine would be...
9, 5, 2, 10, 4, 3, 1, 6, 7, 8
MegaMan games just seem to work better in 8-bit. Otherwise, the sprites are too big, and then Mega Man takes up too much space on the screen.
Edit: Oh... I just realized we were voting on Robot Masters... whoops. >_>

Come on! MM9 isn't THAT hard! *cough*shamelessplug*cough*
You just need to get a feel for it.

In comparison to all other Mega Man games it is much, much harder.

It's hard but fair though. It's very finely-tuned difficulty that I can appreciate to a degree.

1: That one jump in Wily Stage 2
2: Superhero Mode
I didn't find Hero Mode bad at all, but Superhero mode... it's not that bad except for the jumps they expect you to pull off. Especially at that last part in Galaxy Man's stage. That's just crazy.

I don't think that 7's reputation has anything to do with frustration - it's rather easy, really. It's more "OMG THOSE SPRITES ARE SO UGLY". I love MM7.

Voted 1, because it's objectively unpolished. It can't be held responsible for it because it's the first, but still, Ice Man's level and a lot of other parts are just plain shit. Though I don't think it has BAD Robot Masters, they do have pretty clean themes.

My second pick would be 6, that most definitely for the Robot Masters, also I don't like the game at all, so bland, ugh.

I'm going with Mega Man 5. It had an overpowered buster, and there were some stages that I thought were just boring like Stone Man's. 6 would be a close second, but at least that one had the Rush Adapters to use.

I don't hate the game at all, but it was a disappointment to me after 4, which is my personal favorite.
