Ever hear of this LPer? I might as well post that he's doing an LP of it, and I'm laughing. At first, it seems to be that he was not very bright about the shenanigans that is raocow. Took him a few videos to call the chucks Charlies, and he didn't find the Cat Planet Yoshi. Nonetheless, he IS planning to do a Cat Planet LP if it's voted on. Anyway, check out his youtube channel. Well, he did play Cube Root of 3 and its sequel, Second Cube Root of 9. Maybe those broke his brain? :D
I don't know if it's even possible to make more unfair SMB3 hacks.
I still remember bangaa's quote "(the hack author) applied for a job in Hell. He submitted this hack as his resume. He got the job."
Even by Kaizo standards Cube Root was unfair. Not just because of the constant insane-precision jumps, but also because if you lost a power-up when it was physically possible to avoid losing it, you'd have to start the entire GAME over.
Some of the other ridiculous things, in case you don't want to watch his videos:

You have to intentionally take a hit against the world 2 boss. 3-1 is a water level with a spot only small Mario can swim through. There's no enemies, no pits and unlimited time so it's impossible to shrink Mario.
I recall you actually need to intentionally game over on world 3 to farm Frog Suits for later.
World 6 has multiple paths with clones of 6-8/6-9. Mario needs to enter 6-8 with a Frog Suit and lose it to clear it, but only one 6-9 has a goal (the rest are unwinnable).
The SMB3 equivalent to the Kaizo Trap: after jumping to grab the goal item, Mario just needs to land. Once he touches something solid, the level is finished and he cannot auto-walk into a pit. However, some levels in world 7 don't even have a landing spot. The only way to survive is to match 3 goal items (causing the screen to scroll up and award a 2/3/5-Up), completely ignoring whether Mario would survive landing.
World 8, is almost impossible. The palettes are completely black. In fact, the palettes are completely set to color 0x0D. Some say that color is so dark some TVs might not even recognize it as a valid signal. So, if someone decided to ruin a SMB3 cart by burning this hack to it and actually managed to play through this through (miraculously), they might be asked to beat world 8 without even being able to see the screen.

Hmm.... I'm putting this fellah at about the same place I'd place chainfire - he's fine when playing a stupid hard game, a game that's basically made for scumming, but I just can't watch a run of a more 'fair' game or hack or something.

Sounds like someone who wants to present himself as a supercool dude and educational expert player... everything he isn't capable of doing flawlessly is either extremely hard, unfair or requires tool abuse... and maybe it's just me but it seems to me he likes to say "Kaizo" as often as possible as if this would make him an elite player or... I don't even know... I just know I don't really like what I get to listen to. But seeing him fail to be like Pink has a certain unintented entertainment value...
