Is camera abuse that bad of a thing? The level actually gives a hint for that one.
...IT IS WITH THAT FILTER. I think you (almost) need to do that with the second filter to have a shot at winning.

Anyways, these levels were actually much better, and the second one is really cool! It had a nice way to spice up an elevator ride. You utterly deserved such a break. The first level was just there. (oh never mind, we're going back there)

Tomorrow is going to be nasty. I think I actually remember a few details about this next one.

I'm not sure if I understand. I don't see that secret exit on VIP wiki, and it doesn't seem like there is anything in Lunar Magic.

No it doesn't. The event after Ghost Coaster is from the normal exit in Poison Gas.

That elevator boo battle in the second level is super rad and I'm surprised I don't see those kind of shenanigans more often.

Yeah. It must have taken some time to get the boo lasers to move in a threadtening and fairly interesting way through the whole level.

The intro the Big Boo fight was really neat. Reminds of those stories where the poltergeist suddenly moves a piece of furniture or house straight toward them, bringing the victim to them.

Like Zuul did in Ghostbusters.

You know World 7 is looking less and less linear by the second. I wonder what will happen when we head off the beaten path and just let Lemmy rage a little on his own.

I've no idea about that Poison Gas level but I'm going to guess it is... a bit of a thing. A major thing.
Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.

I can't change my username but I go by Vali/Claire now (aka call me Vali or Claire at your leisure ^^).

I never update this currently playing section anymore, it's probably an RPG or something.

Expect a one level level video for it, just saying. Or two. Two videos for one level level, that is. It is a thing, oh, so much of a thing.

What would be the best way to describe a level? In short, some stages are full of enemies, but this is not this stage. In this stage, the enemy is a stage itself. It is the only enemy, but when the enemy takes entire screen and is invisible, you don't need anything else.

Well, consider it this way: The infinite loop level is one of my top 5 levels in in VIP 2, because of how evil and unreasonable it is, and I consider the boss in Poison Gas too unreasonable, considering the level that comes before it.

Edit: OK, but what is funny is that touching the door (the bottom of it is the custom block responsible) initiates a random exit subsequently on the pipe. This is probably an oversight distorting the intended design of the level.
so an oversight led to the level being this much of a problem, then? sounds in character for vip, heh

For those who want to see what "Poison Gas Clouds" is all about before the inevitable video savestateless, here's the first half done by raocow (with all the savestates) and you'll see the gimmick and why he loathes the level very quickly.

Interesting fact: in keeping with the fact that going right, down, left, and then up would return you to roughly where you started, there is a hidden door at the beginning of the level leading directly to the boo fight, so that this is one of those darling levels where the secret exit isn't just the same thing again. What a friendly game this is, as people keep saying :) .

That level that doesn't exist looks awful. Like new record of Angrycow awful. Did VIP 2 have no quality control at all? Would they have accepted a Kaizo level? They pretty much did I guess...

I believe the submission process for early VIPs was like, somebody submitted a level, it can be beaten in theory, it goes in. Would explain Hare of Inaba level in VIP3 at least, which is at least in my opinion is completely broken (but it may be because I didn't understand this level, so perhaps I'm doing it wrong...).

If that helps, it's not that VIP games have particularly many Kaizo levels. Perhaps just people don't want to submit them to a game that is not supposed to be outright Kaizo.

Also, I think that 2ch realized that Poison Gas House is stupid, so they made it optional (not needed for anything), just like MissingNo. (this level doesn't exist as well, by the way) in VIP1 was optional (and the true final level of VIP3, although that one was probably intentionally made Kaizo, while it could have been more of an accident with Poison Gas House, VIP2 airship level and MissingNo.).

I watched all of like maybe 30 seconds of this video. I'm going to wait until the level decides to stop not existing in the current LP to see the rest, but... oh... oh no... ohhhhhh noooooo. Ohhhhhhhh nooooooooooo.

It's going to be anticlimactic if you don't have much trouble with that level (which is not unlikely).

There are flamethrowers, tricky jumps, and very wide lava pit. The same deal as with Larry's level, the same level length, but no midpoint.

... and from watching the level video, its animated palette is so painful that it may deserve a warning about flashes... yay.

It's only reasonable this would take one video.

Decided to bite the bullet, then? I hope you're okay now that it's done.

Anyways, I apologize for the delay. My mind was elsewhere, and then stuff just kind of happened.
The photosensitivity warnings are nice... That one MaGLX2 level should have one, too. (Though your editing skills helped greatly in that regard)
Thoughts on today's levels are not coming to me right now.

Gosh, that sounds an awful lot like JUMP's accepting process.
