I kind of liked the second level more thaan the first from today. Might have been the visuals + the first level being a pretty traditinal ghosthouse. The second level did have some very interesting obstacles. Liked the use of moving layers there too.

Yeah, I was wondering, was a midpoint omitted from the Boss Bass level on purpose or...

Neither of these levels are offensive in their contents... In fact, they're pretty good.
Doesn't stop raocow from dying to their very real difficulty.

Lava fish are the favorite delicacy of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Looking forward to batman.

So, if raocow doesn't go back to get the dungeon, can someone post the hint in the thread or something? (In a spoiler of course)
I'm kind of curious now...

More fangames/romhacks should make use of DKC3's sound track. The track used today wasn't exactly the best fit for the level it was used in but the game's soundtrack is criminally underused.

The mountain/bone tileset looks pretty nice with the background. The enemies were fitting too.

That Dino Valley level is actually based off a level in the canyon world in DKC Returns, so it sorta makes sense actually.

All right
Super Mario World (U) [!]_00000.pngYou jump up here and there's a hidden pipe (the entrance to the dungeon is on the roof, of course).
Super Mario World (U) [!]_00002.pngAnother of these fanastic where's-the-ground? jumps.
Super Mario World (U) [!]_00003.pngA very useful tip.
Super Mario World (U) [!]_00004.pngNow you get a short-cut here without being able to collect the midpoint.

SMW has a swooper cloud, so it may have been that.

It was definitely that, the boo cloud is all floating around up in the ceiling whereas the swooper cloud just kinda hangs from it.

People always forget the swooper cloud, because, ya know, it wasn't actually used in SMW, despite being in the code.
