So is raocow going to be doing the master remix levels after he finishes the normal game? I can't imagine his reaction to the last level.

Might be because I visited these warp zones after completing the main story, so I was very used to precision wall-jumping by then. Outrunning sawblades in 1-block vertical corridors is something I haven't quite gotten down, though.
Oddly I even struggled getting the bandage in stage 2 after A+ing most of

Cotton Alley

too. (A+ing all but three levels in the light world and beating about half the unlocked dark world levels.)

I actually feel like the Expert Remix of the Weibe level is the hardest in the game, just because of how much you have to do and dodge. Puberty is a difficult level, but not the most difficult, at least in my opinion.

I agree that the 1-million-projectile level is harder, but it doesnt cause as big of an "oh shit" initial reaction.

The maws are kind of annoying. Due to their homing property you need a lot of repetitive trial and error to know where they'll hit and launch their mini-maws. They used to be easier in the meat boy game that wasn't super; I think they were a lot slower.

Portals have a little cooldown animation after teleporting something, during which nothing passes through.

Never put your wrench in a meat, please.

Flywrench is a unique, difficult game with weird controls and a harsh noise soundtrack. It's by the guy who also made Nidhogg, as well as that game with the grappling hook moose.
It's kind of Lunar Lander-ish with its physics, but the level design is more like Jumper or Impulse.

Boris is one of the levels where a later character allows you to just ignore the platform. Not that you'd need to for any reason other than speedrunning.

I'm not sure that's worth the effort you'll put into it. A playlist on Youtube or raocow.com is what people will use to find the videos, or just searching Super Meat Boy raocow on Youtube, before they use this thread that will be buried sometime or another. I just don't want peeps to waste their time on stuffs, ya know?

If raocow manages to reach what I think he'll reach tomorrow it's gonna be a wild ride.

I hate those chompy-mouth obstacles. They got me constantly when I first played the game.

Also they can definitely get you before exploding.

raocow never ceases to amaze me with how he solves some puzzles and levels in an instant, but has trouble with the silliest things in the next level. Finding Flywrench in half a second and getting that key in very little time, but sometimes taking forever to see the most obvious thing. Then again, considering what he's gone through before, this is child's play.
Did anyone else find it somewhat hilarious that he said "Jesus hell" a whole bunch while in hell? I found it funny for some reason.

Are you talking about

Skyscraper

or

The Kid's warpzone

? Both are considered the hardest of each type and I think both are within the first handful of levels.

And raocow if you read this and get to the next world tomorrow, the warpzone gimmick in world 5 is that they are out in the open, but most of the time you have to hurry or else they'll disappear before you can get to them. All warpzones disappear after a while, but world 5 levels tend to be huge.

If I recall correctly there's exactly 300 stages counting light world, dark world, each warp zone stage, and glitch levels.

I think that phrase is coming back. I might just have a very awful memory but I feel like we went through a fair period where raocow either barely or never used it, after having used it for so many years, and now I've heard it many times lately and it makes me happy. It's one of my favorite old and recurring phrases xD

20 * 12 + 5 * 2 + 3 * 20 + 6 = 240 + 10 + 60 + 6 = 316 actually. Plus 7 more if you count each boss. 323 then.

Ah, I see part of my mistake. I actually forgot that bosses weren't the 20th stage in each world somehow. (Addressed in the spoiler.) That's where I got simply 300. Although

you're saying 7 more for bosses. I can only think of 6. (Spoilered because it's kinda expected there'd be one in Cotton Alley but I don't think there is from what I recall.)

I had 20 light world stages per world (6*20) plus 20 dark world stages per world (6*20) plus 5 for chapter 6 because I somehow got light and dark there is 5 total stages... Then I had the 5 glitch stages. (I forgot chapter 6 had one.) Then there was three warp zones per world (sans chapters 6 and 7) with three stages each. (9*5, though thinking on this I think there's in fact four because there's three in the light world and one in the dark.) So that's 295. So it looks like I might have actually counted bosses separately but forgot to count chapter 6's bosses.

It should be 250 light/dark world stages, 7 total bosses (chapter 6 has both light and dark world bosses after all), 6 glitch stages, then 12 warp zone stages per world for the first five chapters is another 60 total stages. So yeah, 323 like you said.

Dark World of The End has the true final boss, so that makes 7 bosses in total.

I gotta say, as wacky as Flywrench's controls are, I had a lot more fun with him (her? it?) than any other secret character. Some levels are impossible with him, but others just get completely and totally broken.

I wholeheartedly agree. I found the fact that Flywrench can slide up walls to be its best ability, given how extremely fast it is, and how small its hitbox is in that state, and combined with its triple jumps, it can render the many stages that feature climbs up vertical shafts with saws/spikes on either side almost trivial. It's definitely a tricky character to use, but man is it ever fun.

As an aside...
Having played through it, I can see why world 6 limits you to just using Meat Boy. Just looking at the stages, it's not hard to imagine just how incredibly easy they'd be to completely break with someone like The Kid or Flywrench. Mind, I've gotten so used to speedrunning that I'm *still* beating the par times by 20 seconds or more, but still, wow.

I'll admit that Little Horn isn't a good boss. But the pattern is short enough that you're done pretty quickly, so he's not my least favorite boss (Though I imagine him being hell for speedruns).

And I really like the cutscene beforehand, where it shows that Meatboy dying a million times is canon.

I don't feel like dying to a boss couple of times is necessarily that bad. It will feel pretty good if you can predict the final moves based on the previous experimentation. It's also easy to learn and more realistic to have the boss not wait for the attacks.
