Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
The Banzia Bill stage was the only level I actually remembered from TSRP2 and I was waiting for it to show up. I was disappointed. True story
I'm on Twitter and Discord so say hi to me on there cause I like to vanish from here forever repeatedly also I have sigs off so I can make my sig as ugly as I want and it won't bother me this is my sig btw

Weird, the only program I've heard of that DOESN'T make it highpitched is Goldwave (audio program) where it's a specific type of speedup optionally.gamercal wrote:Oh I understand the physics of it all, I'm not that silly. What I don't get is how, when using the same software and (presumably) doing the same thing of just doubling the speed, my recordings don't have a "pitch increase", whereas raocow's (and everyone else's it seems) does. I stress again that it's not a big deal, it's just gotten me curious.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
The newest version of Audacity can do that too, with some quality issues.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
You know, you call the cape "easy mode" a lot. And while I can see how things make it better (which is more determined by the amount of land you have and ceiling clearance to take off and fly), it doesn't seem that bad. Shoot the glide mechanic has been your downfall in a grand number of levels.
Meanwhile you have no qualms about using the Fire Flower, which can simplify levels (water levels especially!) by more easily killing enemies.
It's all just kind of silly!

I think the high pitched fast forward comes from raocow using the Windows XP version of WMM.

I gave up on trying to figure out how you get a fireball to work underwater.
But whatever.
The Banzai Bill stage...son I am disappoint.

I'm really nice.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
These two stages are actually among the more memorable in the hack for me, especially Beach Party.

That wasn't a bad level, but as parties go, it was pretty awful. Nothing ruins a festive mood more than everyone trying to kill you.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
I know this issue has been addressed before, but why do 99% of the desert levels (in general) involve pipes and piranha plants?

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
Ohhhh really? That would make sense somewhat, considering I use the Vista version. I have never used XP's WMM for editing anything, so I wouldn't have thought of that... lolFirePhoenix wrote:I think the high pitched fast forward comes from raocow using the Windows XP version of WMM.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
Because plants are most abundant in the desert.kilon wrote:I know this issue has been addressed before, but why do 99% of the desert levels (in general) involve pipes and piranha plants?

In Mario logic?

Newbie guess here is they work together as tilesets? :/.kilon wrote:I know this issue has been addressed before, but why do 99% of the desert levels (in general) involve pipes and piranha plants?

Eh, not really much to say. Nothing really stuck out in today's episode, for me at least. It is rather strange there's not one bit of discussion today.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
Well, I've been gone for like five days, and now I'm finally getting to watch the ones I missed.
Episode 11 @ 4:43, I literally facedesk'd. And then laughed, I think.

Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
I think those BGs used to be considered tilespace intensive so FPI didn't have much space for FG graphics, hence the overuse of pipes and other standard objects.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
The raocow fad is fading just like the Wii, obviously.Kilgamayan wrote:So why has this thread gone all day without any posts >_>
Seriously, I didn't really have much to say other than I'm glad that boss was beaten in one take. One more miss, and that video could have gone from just right to downright painful. I'm more interested in today's video because the game starts to ramp up the difficulty a bit from what I remember.
Re: HACK - THREAD: feat. the TSRP2 thread
That's sounds like something DeceasedCrab would have said in La-Mulana, but he didn't.

Because people would scream at me for being a post whore. Which would be a mean thing to say regardless.Kilgamayan wrote:So why has this thread gone all day without any posts >_>
Now then, wasn't there a saw-is-chasing-you segment in TSRPR as well? Albeit a bit more challenging as it was in a later world.

Oh my god I remember that SAWS level from your first lp because it's like the only video I saw of it for some reason.
