It's quite a situation. Hopefully the plot points will help some.

Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
I have this growing imaginary mountain in my head of ideas and intentions Horikawa had that have been permanently discarded due to the way you guys are playing this game and how none of it can be gotten back.
I should probably attempt to contribute some fanart before everyone ends up dead on a whim's notice.
I regularly stream on Twitch! with other members of the talkhaus. Come watch Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 2PM for blind playthroughs and Pokémon and Touhou and stuff. Come hang out with us!

well be first... Crazy way to handle situations with such luck can only work so much... Plus, it's been dying down quite a bit lately...Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
Ugh, after listening to episode 22, this is leaving a pit in my stomach. I don't like the sounds of what's happening and I'm fearful on how the next few episodes are going to be like. The small humor spots got overpowered with what's happening And there has to be another way. There's always a way. Now I'm going to be hesitant on listening to the next few because of how this ones going.
and I agree, good voice acting Horikawa. =P

Everything's going to be okay! And then it won't. And then it will! And then, I really don't know...
But the point is, it's going to remain fun the whole time, and we'll always have options and ways forward. Horikawa will let us ruin things because that's entertaining -- she won't let our ruin lead to a miserable, hopeless place.

Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
Is it me or is Horikawa's voice somewhat different in the latest episode? She sounded either more serious, less shy or... something... Her voice cracked less at least.

Don't worry! I didn't leave in the first voice acting thing, but later on in the actual game you do a bowser voice briefly and Cats says "you really should do voice acting".Horikawa Otane wrote:god dammit you left that in dito. Where is it in the video?
I think he's saying that it's better! Which is good, because your mic is definitely way better!Sorry. New mic and stuff. Also I'd been giving presentations all day, so my voice got all hoarse and sore. Bit lower as a result.Shinoda wrote:Is it me or is Horikawa's voice somewhat different in the latest episode? Sorry! I know people inexplicably like my voice, so if it's worse off I do apologise.
Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
I agree the mic makes you more clearer and the volume is more even with the rest of the group than the previous sessions. I don't think you need to change a thing. And if I offended you, sorry. but it was a little funny hearing it.Shinoda wrote:

It's spoiled in a way, I do love getting into the feel of the game and story and it makes it so great to listen to. And that brings up another things. All these private sessions during the game. It's good that it's done like this, and I'm not complaining at all because it just adds to the suspense and storytelling. But jeeze ol' petes I just wish I could see what's going on.Don't worry - stuff improves in that department. I won't go into how or WHY it improves, but it does. It has to do with the thing cats and I were talking about off-screen mentioned in the beginning of the episode.

"What defence?"
I feel like we got cliffhanger-ed right before the Pidgit saying "Exactly."

Not really a fanart, but a summed up version of Jakey boy, Ceasar, and Reznor's time with the ninjisHorikawa Otane wrote: edit: I also want fanart of that ninji.
...or would it be ninji for a group?

Can we get some Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney music in the background for the courtroom episode?
I think I would have preferred the players to defend themselves... so the outcome of the court case feel more in their hands.. (along with the stupid mistake they would be bound to make.)

However, my description of myself goes like this: I'm a smart idiot who writes and designs well, but as jacks of all trades go, I can really do jack.

Don't worry about it, guy! The more art the merrier, and you can't improve unless you keep trying.Duvi0 wrote:I drew Daryl the Prison Ninji too, but I can definitely tell you it's markedly worse than the other guy's. At least it's better than my last one!

You were gone? I just thought you were IMing with Horikawa doing things we couldn't see only for you to come back and somehow save the day... again...cats-on-ice wrote:HELLO I'M ALIVE

Edit: I also want to add to everyone that I DID some form or "art" thingy... but it's gonna stay on the down-low until the future happens. Horikawa will most likely see it before everyone else because of reasons but just stand by until.. some point in the future that may or may not be too far away... but probably kinda far away

I'm digging the every-episode cliffhangers/one-liners. The Smoo pause sound effect is also clever.Rednaxela wrote:"Now... let's talk about your defence..."

Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
I gave it a quick shot with the first few episodes... and realized most of the good stuff requires context, if I was to put the context in, that would pretty much just cut some of your OOC chatter... to get it, someone would have to pretty much listen to the whole thing.cats-on-ice wrote:we need a best moments compilation..
Also, unrelated but stumbled upon that which reminded me of you.

Re: A Super Mario Tabletop Thing
I wonder if the optimal way to have a "best moments" compilation with the best balance of having sufficient context without requiring the whole thing... might be in the form of a mini comic strip thing, plus attached audio for each as a bonus. Pictures can be good for conveying a certain amount context quickly after all (of course... takes much more time to make than clipping out bits of audio would)Shinoda wrote:I gave it a quick shot with the first few episodes... and realized most of the good stuff requires context, if I was to put the context in, that would pretty much just cut some of your OOC chatter... to get it, someone would have to pretty much listen to the whole thing.cats-on-ice wrote:we need a best moments compilation..
