I'm mostly super excited to see the new version exclusive speedrun glitches. Come on Nintendo! Make an AV cable for the 3DS, dammit! Would also be nice if they added more content like an extra dungeon or something, but they won't.

Isn't the problem with the 3D Sonic games more that they missed the point of the series? Sure, Sonic goes fast in the originals, but that's not the be all and end all of it. There's actual platforming, not just running fast from left to right, and you can choose your speed.

On the topic of Zelda, multiple games have demonstrated that you can make a 3D fantasy action-adventure with multiple enemies attacking that are a threat. And no, I don't mean Hyrule Warriors. Although I still haven't played it, if it's anything like Dynasty Warriors, you're so overpowered that the enemies aren't a threat then either. They're just a horde of filler. I'm referring here to games like Dark Souls, and to games like Skyrim. Everyone knows the former is challenging, but as anyone who's been surrounded by enemies in the latter - like ambushed inside a fort - can attest to, is dangerous as well. There is no technical obstacle to making a 3D Zelda that plays like the original game. The only obstacle is that Nintendo don't want to.
Skyrim/Elder Scrolls (and action-WRPGs in general, and WRGPs in general if you remove the action from the following) is more of an action-adventure-numbers-inventory-stats, than an action-adventure game.

The absence of such things is why Zelda is Zelda and not Terrible Inventory Game: Not Dungeons and Dragons LXXVI: Dwarfelftownshire. (This is not a jab at any game in particular but WRPGs in general btw)
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Zelda 2 had an upgrade system, and Zelda 1 had grinding to buy things to be better. Sure, it's not to the extent of an RPG, but it's getting there, and Elder Scrolls is moving away from RPG at the same time. I don't think it's implausible that a Zelda series that stayed focussed on combat could have ended up like that.

What I'm trying to say is both elder scrolls and souls have little to nothing in common with zelda. You're being ridiculous at this point.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Replace Zelda with Minecraft and your argument would make the same amount of sense.
This is like comparing Megaten and Pokémon only because of the monster catching gimmick.

Besides, if Zelda was combat focused i'm pretty sure it'd just turn into Ys.
A more open, longer Ys, but Ys nonetheless.

Sorry if I'm coming off as confrontational. I'm not trying to.
