RoX: WinXP-era maze/puzzle game complete with editor

Puzzle game by Safrosoft, who made this game and proceeded to drop off the face of the earth forever. It's grid-based and stuff, and comes with a very in-depth level creator to make your own level packs.

I played this game a LOT back in the day, and a few years ago I thought of it and reinstalled it to my main computer to play it again. I remembered it again recently and tried putting it on my laptop. Problem, though: this program is ridiculously finicky. I distinctly remember having to jump a few hoops to get it working on my desktop, and I'm getting ActiveX errors on my laptop. It's to the point where I wonder if anyone else can even run this game. If anyone here gets the same error, perhaps you'd be better at finding the source than I would.

When Safrosoft vanished, a fansite mirrored the game for a while, but all the mirrors are now dead. I've mirrored it on my Dropbox for now (check the link at the bottom of the post), so maybe it can find a decent home one day. The fansite has a bunch of level packs, so there's that.

Of note, Safrosoft resurfaced recently with a web-based build of RoX, but it's not as good as the standalone build, in my opinion. There are also plans for a sequel, apparently.

As someone who used to play Supaplex (another Boulder Dash clone) a lot when I was younger, I find this game to look pretty darn gosh cool~

I'll try it out later on!
(if it runs on Windows 7, that is)
