Not Tetris 2 and MariO are the strongest projects they offer, although I haven't played Ortho yet.

Everything is free, which is nice. (I mean it has to be since it's all based on other games and franchises) And I think the creator(s) even push for having the games work across all systems, mac, linux and PC.

I don't know about music/sounds but the game itself was just made by one person, Mauritius. (Name might be spelled wrong. He's a member of my main forum but I haven't seen him in awhile so I can't remember the spelling.)

I never knew since there's not a lot of credit for themselves lying around! Pretty neat that it's just one person.

Mari0 would likely be one of the games I would play if its author were to choose a free/libre license (like the GNU GPL or the Apache license) rather than CC BY-NC-SA. I once played it before I learned of the license, and from a design and gameplay perspective, it works well.

...I suppose it was a very poorly-executed non-joke on my part, but I did catch the part where onpon brought up that it's not free/libre. Not quite sure where I was going with that as a "joke," but yeah.
Anyway this does sound conceptually neat, I might give it a try if I find myself with a random hour to kill at some point.

Actually, half of these games (Not Pacman, Trosh, and Order of Twilight) are free/libre, under the WTFPL. Of the other three, one of them (Not Tetris) seems to be under no license at all, and the rest are under CC BY-NC-SA. My guess is the author is one of those guys who have the misguided position that copyleft should ban capitalism. (The idea is that it'll hurt corporations, but really corporations are used to not being able to use others' code; the people it really hurts are smaller guys trying to make a living.)
