Making this so I don't forget about this game because I'd kill myself if I did.

So there's this guy and he's working on a game. Crazy, right? The game is called How To Be A Tree, and it's a quirky physics platformer.

I for one am super excited for this dang game, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun with the interesting movement system, the obstacles the guy is coming up with and the humor he's putting into the game.

The Mother 3 Battle memory even states it directly:

It would be pretty cool to be a tree. This game seems extremely educational, and as someone who enjoys playing video games to further expand their knowledge, I would be interested in learning just how to be a tree.

For some reason, the eye setting the tree on fire with its laser eyebeam in the proper tree etiquette gif really disturbs me. Especially given that the eye acts really friendly in the first gif.

I'd like to be a tree is a quote from MLP: FiM and it's a very memorable quote and one people use in jokes often, so with a game based on how to be a tree it's often connected to the MLP joke.

For me personally I don't like when fandom stuff is shoved into non-related things, it's a lot of the reason for why people hate bronies to begin with. Also I'm a tad sick of the joke to begin with since I've heard it so much and seen so many iterations of it. Simple doors for flavor and possibly a teaching mechanic~

HTBAT was also shown off at an event recently called The MIX, so it gotten far enough along that a demo stage could be made, I assume. Which is good news indeed!
