Me Art Swags of Lo!

Post by Zha Hong Lang »

Yarr! Here be ye ol' supply of Jay's shenanigans! Please thine eyes by whatevarr ye find, leave thine notice at the bottom, an' ye be on thy way!

In more understandable English, here is the stuff I've posted a couple of times before!!! I've made this stuff over the years, and it's taken me quite a while to do some of the things. But anyways, I'll go ahead and show the first few:

Daily Prayers
Although I no longer make a written prayer for each day, I take my faith lifestyle very seriously, and want it to be reflected in every aspect of what I do. Prayers (especially written prayers) are a an especially serious aspect to me, because I consider it a time when the whole world melts away, and the only thing that has to be paid attention to is God, and then possibly yourself. Here, I will store all the prayers I have made since I started online prayers, and the ones I will make in the future.

Praise

Fill Me Again

The Overall Goal

Gladness; Peace

Thank You

Thankfulness for Enlightenment

To Break the Chains

My God, Without Limits

Powerful, Truly

I Need You, Lord
Drawings
My digital drawings were made in generally two different ways. Back in 2013, I drew down colorless drawings which I later scanned, and colored in with a mouse via paint.net. Now, I use a intous tablet along with Paint Tool SAI, when I want to make digital drawings.

I personally don't like this one because it's just a straight portrait. I wanted to make it better by adding a background, but it didn't work out the way I wanted to, making it an ugly combination of shading.

fusona portrait #2 (different character, though)

I'm a bit more proud (is that right grammar?) of this for several reasons, first and foremost being that it took a very short amount of time to draw and color. I also like his expression, though I didn't make the nose look atomically correct. But eh, it looks pretty good other than that!

fursona sideshot (once again, different character)

This one's got history, more than I'd like to explain. The gist of it is that it's a wolf who represents the desires psyche of myself, and... he's quite strong, yet gentle in a way, being such. (totally thoughtful, but I just wanted to do something and this came out) He is the only thing on this list so far made solely with digital means.

fursona headview (same character as first)

My most recent drawing of my character. While the actual design has changed a lot, this still resembles the old Jay in a couple of ways. However, this guy's name is now J.O.M.B., (Jomb for short, because his full name is Jason O'Neil Maxwell Brent) and his background is completely different than what it had been in the past.

A Painting

She's something I made in mid-november. It was originally an outline given to everyone in an art class, but the coloring is completely done by me. I'm glad of how this one turned out.

My Custom Made Lock Screen BG ( )

Just so you know, I hate Windows 8. I really do. It's annoying in both big and small ways, the useless screen before the password entry included.

This thing is extremely ugly, but I do not care at all. Not one bit.

SMBX stuff (1.3.0 compatible, for anyone wondering)
This is just stuff I made because I thought it looked pretty good. I may have originally had better plans for it, but it's all in the past now.

After all that time, finally there's a properly made SMB3 Toad! Originally made for the now-scrapped SLMR, The small and super form for toad have been completed so far.

As seen in the screenshots, he's completely different from the regular NPC toad, so they shouldn't get confused too easily.

Previous edits made by Iceman404 and vonadlo, final edits (and implementation into smbx) made by me, Jayoshi.

Enhanced SMW forest stuff:

Registered_person's koopas, but everything else that's handmade is mine!

Pack also includes a custom forest tileset that awesomely mixes with the rest of the graphics.

Moonfalls Cavern:

A level I made a long time ago for funzies. It's not really that great, but it has enough eyecandy and various things to keep you pleased.

Oh yeah and the music is used in territory war online for those who can't figure out. (though it was originally released as a independent track on newgrounds, which is how I downloaded it, actually)

More stuff to come~

If you guys actually happen to like some of the stuff in here, give me a shout and I might show more.

Thankfully I have the freedom of saying that Sam was not based off of any anime character (In fact, he's kinda his own species... pretty hard to describe tbh)

Neither do I. ;) (I seriously lost interest in the first ten minutes for whatever reason)

Thanks for the compliment, and for posting! ^_^

Looking back at this again, I decided to clean it up a little, and add some things that weren't there last time. I also decided to get rid of the random section, since that wasn't something I really expected to have a nice ending, anyways.

For anybody who might be looking at this, would you want to see a few other things? Some more stuff I have still exists, although it's not very much.

New drawing added!

I figured out at this point that I can edit photos of drawing to good visibility pretty easily. I have some drawing practice sheets still sitting around; would you guys like to see those? If not, that's alright, I could just draw more when I feel like it.

I updated my latest drawing a little bit. Now, it should have better shading than it did before, and it has a few added details you may or may not notice. ;)

I also rendered it a little better in paint.net than it did last time, which was still a bit grayed out in my opinion.

Just a suggestion, but instead of retouching old works, it might be more effective in the long run to instead keep making new art from scratch and build experience.

I'd probably just say that the last one just wasn't complete. There were several things I wanted to improve upon when I took the initial photo, which actually makes me wonder why I shot it instead of just the other one.
