Making all the levels in the resturants toilets is harsh considering not even the worst levels got that treatment. At least when terrible you become infamous. I guess mediocrity is the worst fate for a video game level.

The worst levels were where toilets lead though
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

It's always interesting to hear the thought processes behind level design decisions.

Why did you decide to move the exits? It's good that you now realize why they shouldn't have moved, but I'm just curious as to what led to that choice.

I actually thought those pillars were background when raocow entered the room, and if I'd been playing I may never have realized they were solid. I had to open up SMBX just to check that. =P (Guess that shows how much I use the SMB2 tilesets...) I'm also surprised raocow made the jump with little difficulty considering that Blooper was determined to talk to him (blame the circle pad.)

I bet it was changed since the rules were only one exit star, but additional non-exit stars are allowed. I believe I recall Horikawa mentioning making some changes like that.

Most of this levels had very little effort, so it's not worth arguing whether a flat plain beats out emtpy hole. AI am a bit surprised but the levels with some effort sandwiched between them, especially the easy trolly one, which is much more of a level than Proud Sky is.

I'm pretty sure only Classtoise and Alex were really getting particularly upset so there

So those levels sure happened. Fluffy Sky Tunnel and Investigation of a Happy Ocean were... more confusing than anything really. I suddenly have a lot more confidence in my own level after seeing a few more of these bottom-tier levels though!

I wanted to say that I think it's kinda interesting that you can't really have 'pure garbage' levels in SMBX the same way you would in SMW (or at least they should be less common); since you don't have specific graphic sets that need to be set up correctly and such, you're not going to have 'glitchy garbage tiles/enemies' and the like unless you intentionally put work into it due to the way SMBX handles graphic and npc files. Or maybe sheer incompetence could do the trick as well. I'm probably explaining this in the least-clear way possible.

It's all about the experience and (the yacht of) opinions. I actually legitimately like proud sky as a joke level, if only because it gives a nice serene breather between the two real awful levels.
