If anyone here likes shipfiction, then it’s very likely you’ve already read or at least heard of University Days by DawnFade. Practically the god-tier FiM shipfic, so if you’re gonna read any romantic pony fanfiction, read that.

Shipping and Handling by Pegasus Rescue Brigade may also interest you. This was the first legitimate fanfic I’ve ever read, and it’s freakin’ adorable!

When Ditzy Doo loses her job at Cloudsdale Mail and Freight, she gets a job at another shipping company… only to find out their definition of shipping has nothing to do with delivering packages! Desperate for income to support herself and Dinky, will Ditzy be able to make it as a pony matchmaker?

As for ship pairings, mine would be:

• Lyra x Bon Bon
• Derpy x Doctor Whooves

These are all already pretty popular ships, but I can’t help but find them cute like everyone else.

It is pretty unfortunate that considering how populated with female characters the show is we still haven't seen any canon lesbian pairings. And it's probably Hasbro making sure that never happens too...

Regarding shipfiction: There's just not enough Raridash for my liking, and I'm terrible at writing my own. Other than that, the only one I really read that's genuinely shippy is The Games We Play.

Regarding episodes: I was mildly surprised at how Simple Ways turned out - I got five minutes in and put it aside for weeks (partly because I hadn't bought the other half of S4 on iTunes yet and partly because I didn't like where it was going, having been in Spike's position several times). When I finally got around to finishing watching it I was laughing so hard throughout the episode. Still not particularly happy with the direction it took, but at least it's funny. The best part of Filli Vanilli was AJ's deadpan knowing why they were doing Singin' In The Rain, though the music was (as always) great. Twilight Time was just kinda there (like the MaGLX levels in video 8). Breezies was cute and had a good lesson, and hopefully Fluttershy will combine this with what she learned in Putting Your Hoof Down*.

Regarding Fluttershy: Personally, I don't like Fluttershy's character direction, but that's because she's a little too much like how I was in Junior High and High School. I'm hoping the combination of Filli Vanilli, Breezies, and Putting Your Hoof Down will spark her in the direction she needs to go to grow as a character. Right now she's kinda just "the shy one" and that's about it.

I liked Maud Pie in an unusual sort of way, just because I'm sorta (...kinda) the same kind of super-introverted as Maud is (minimal reactions or emoting to stuff)... but not in the "obsessive about rocks" way.

I assure you that there are people in fandoms who don't care about shipping either, they just don't talk about it haha. Whereas the people who DO like shipping obviously will be vocal about it more often than not.

I really liked Maud Pie too <3 She was super sweet and kind. She just doesn't emote too often and also has her own interests. I found it just to be super real. Like, you might meet somebody who's a really nice person, but you just won't click because you're not compatible. That's real as heckie.

Most of the seasons have introduced a good variety of characters~

S2: Gave Luna a personality, Mare-Do-Well (Technically?), Daring Do, all of the cameos in MMMystery Express, and the Flim Flam brothers. Also Chrysalis and Shining Armor and Cadence.

S3 had Babs Seed, Ms. Harsh Whinny, and Lightning Dust. Which wasn't MUCH but half a season so.

I agree, Maud was great. The ultimate straight-mare for Pinkie.
"It doesn't talk, it's a dress." Instantly my favorite S4 character. That's the kind of thing I would say, albeit sarcastically. To hear something like that said seriously is all the more hilarious to me.
Just, the entirety of Maud's character basically a representation of part of my sense of humor. To see it as her actual personality was glorious.

Tbh I was kind of plodding through the beginning of the episode. I just... really, really begin to dislike interactions with the CMC considering how dumb the episode becomes usually. Once Luna got there I was like "Alright okay cool somebody with sanity, yes." and it stopped feeling like I was pulling out teeth.

Kind of... y'know, heartbreaking to see Sweetie attempt to ruin Rarity, but the whole dream sequence (probably half the episode length, even!) was pretty well put-together.
Raritah and Sweetieboo continue to be at the top end of my favorite characters list.

I'm pleased with their rendition of This Day Aria, but outside of the song the acting from Chrysalis seems to be... lacking. The actress doesn't seem to put any stress on the wording anywhere, though I could be wrong since I don't speak the language obv.

It’s so interesting how this is part of the movie though! If I didn’t have the logos and the channel I would honestly have just assumed this was an animation one-off from a brony. It’s so much it’s own kind of clip that I’m really curious how it’s going to fit into the overall movie, if at all.

Also kind of amusing how they’ve resolutely got her being mute.

Based on the clip I’m just wondering if she’ll play a large part in the movie, which would be hella sweet of course. Or if this is just a one-off gag in the middle of the movie...? That'd be kind of weird!
