Yeah, I decided to start let's playing some myself in an effort to help get some recognisition for some of the more underappreciated hacks / games. Right now I'm playing a hack of Super Mario Bros. that is built after an old Hudsonsoft game, and big spoiler

Super Mario Land.

I will upload two videos five days a week so it should come out to ten (maybe).

Place all degrading remarks, hate mail, ridiculing, and critiqueing in this thread.

so yeah, anyone know how to speed up portions of your recordings? I have a rather long section I feel should be sped up, but I didn't know how so I uploaded it in its entirety.

Depends on what program you use to edit?

I've just been using camstudio to record and windows movie maker to edit.

With WMM, if you right click on one of the cells in the progression bar, you have an option for 'effects'. You should have something like 'acceleration: double' or however it'd be called in english.

wow, I've never heard of people "downgrading" there programs. Apparently the new movie maker for Windows 7 doesn't have the speed up option, so I downloaded an older version (Windows XP) and found it there. Why would Windows remove options?

I just replaced the Super Mario Bros. Special [3] video with the new version.

EDIT: Or not, youtube keeps deleting my videos. Hopefully this version will work out...

Well, today was the first real trainwreck. A two parter for Super Mario Bros. Special (at least it makes up for all the short videos!?)

Too bad I was expecting some extra worlds, so I purposely didn't use the CONTINUE trick raocow mentioned. Oh well, if I had known that was the last world I would have. I guess people can try and see if they can beat my high score or something.

Next on my list of games to let's play is a Super Mario World romhack. Post a reply in this thread if you have an idea for a game to be played after I finish Super Mario Land 2. If it's a hack, it must be finished (I don't like to let's play demos, it feels weird). I'd also prefer it to be not too well-known)

Hey, thanks for the advice! For the sake of consistency I've decided to finish the Super Mario Land 2 let's play using the same screen size (I only have two more videos left), but after that I'm going to take your advice. Also, I'm sorry about not having a video up yesterday, I had it recorded, but I'm on a trip right now and the internet in my location is sketchy at best. I'm uploading my videos right now and will edit this post when the content is uploaded.
