raocow, Generally I like the chipmunking parts, but please don't start or stop it in the middle of a sentence. I know that's difficult because in the whole LP there are a total of about 5 seconds where you aren't, ;) but even if the sentence doesn't make any sense I still wonder how that dolphin-related phrase ended, just because I'm curious. ^^

Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
Man, today's episode was pretty awesome! The commentary on the second level had me cracking up constantly. Although, it saddens me to find out I don't count as a human...

And Mike, I think you're human! :)

Oh man! raocow McStuffy Nose Magee. But seriously, I find it just so darn stupid that KT decided not to include red dots on the map for secret exits. What in the world was he trying to pull with that. I dunno, it just kind of bothers me a bit. But I never really liked the smw returns series to begin with (at least not the first two).

The skulls as Expies of Sonic the Hedgehog? Sounds like the seeds of an Epileptic Tree to me. Ohoho.

Speaking of the "Here lies Link" thing, that's only in more recent versions. The original NES had "Here lies Erdrick", a jab at Dragon Warrior's hero. Of course, once Square and Enix merged, that joke didn't make a whole lot of sense, which is why it's Link now.
Sorry for jumping off topic, but it was driving me nuts that raocow mentioned it and didn't give the whole story.

Oh man, referencing TV Tropes without linking to it like it was no thing.

Today's little chat with Charlie was awesome.
"Hey there, Charlie having fun? Wanna play some patty cakes?"
I never noticed the flying condom thing...(considering I didn't have a gutter mind last time I played Yoshi's Island) haha >_<

I hear flying condoms work wonders on your plumbing.
I find I'm not paying attention to the level design this time around. I haven't found anything "make you want to bang a head against the wall" repetitive yet. Yay. :D

Hahahaha, flying condoms... That's awesome, in some weird, twisted way.
I really like that water overworld, it seems so... fresh.

Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
yay! the flying condoms return. for those of you who didn't watch his LP of Kamek's Revenge, he mentioned "Mr. Condom" at the end of the 1-4 video
only the North American NES version mentioned Erdrick, as Nintendo themselves did the localization. Interestingly enough, Nintendo also localized Dragon Warrior I's NES version as well, and gave out copies to NP subscribers (the hero was a decendant of Erdrick. Erdrick was long dead in DW1, so it was fitting for the grave to be his, whereas the only Link in existance at the time was still alive, despite the whole thing being 3 different continuities)GauRocks wrote:Speaking of the "Here lies Link" thing, that's only in more recent versions. Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
Too bad there were absolutely no flying condoms in todays episode. But hey, you can't always have what you want, right? I still don't like the fact that there are no red dots to indicate whether or not a secret exit is present in a level though.
Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
The fact that there was a secret exit on the yellow dot furthers my suspicion that the first water cave level has one. I think I'll take a look in LM and see for myself...
*later*
Well it turns out that there's no secret exit in that level but there is one in the ship level on the same world. Also, some castles seem to have secret exits, including the fortress that's coming up at the end of this world and the castle on the beach. These castle exits seem to be quite tricky to get so be on the lookout for them.

Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
This, I have to agree with. It psyches me out not knowing if there's a secret exit or not. Which makes it more secretive I guess, but still, some kind of indication would be nice. Really makes the overworld-distrustfulness tag fit... Oh well.Daarkbuu wrote:Too bad there were absolutely no flying condoms in todays episode. But hey, you can't always have what you want, right? Hmm... I think I have seen that particular air meter in a hack before... I am not sure, but I think it was in either SMTKO or Odyssey.
Re: Super Mario World Returns - No Tools!
I haven't played SMTKO, but Odyssey had different air meter. It was something like a vertical rectangle filled with green color...? I can't really say right now.yoshicookiezeus wrote:Hmm... Does anyone know what program raocow used to play this ROM hack?
