Just a thread in which you can post any games that you deem fun or at least worth a try that were released for only the Famicom, Famicom Disk System, or Super Famicom. These are games that were of course, only released in Japan. It doesn't count if they were also released on NES/SNES. (Unless the Japanese version is considerably superior, ex: Kid Icarus on the FDS)
Please post games like this:
Name Of Game (no ROM links please)
Famicom, FDS, or Super Famicom?
Link To English Translation Patch (if one exists, it is recommended for games with a lot of text) (do not link to already translated ROMs) (IPS patches are preferred, UPS patches are also acceptable)
If a translation exists, will the ROM space need to be increased so that it will work correctly? (Please don't link to a program that does this)
Why The Game Is Worth Looking At
To start it off:
Umihara Kawase
Super Famicom

No Additional ROM Space Required
It's a very fun and random game that involves grappling around stages using a fishing rod. It's worth a shot.
If you're interested, go ahead and post! :D
(Note: I know raocow doesn't play commercial games, but this thread isn't for him, it's for Talkhaus users that enjoy these games.)

Re: Reccomendable Famicom/Super Famicom Games
Posting here to say that Umihara Kawase is one of my favorite game.
For those interested there is a DS version of the game that have both the SNES and Playstation version in it . Also fix some slowdown on the snes version.
So to not make this post useless, let's post something.
Hamelin no Violin Hiki / The Violinist of Hamelin
Super Famicom

No Additional ROM Space Required
A platformer where you play as a violonist. You also have a slave girl that follow you. And she can wear costumes with different abilities that make the game really interesting.
