PSA about the WiiU

Yes, technically a game IS worth $50 by itself (actually $60, but whatever). The extra storage is pretty much necessary if you're going to be getting Gamecube games (I sure as hell won't want to have my external drive attached to my Wii U a significant portion of the time). And... the pieces of plastic are useless, yeah.

Edit: I do wish both versions came in both colors though. I'd rather not have a fingerprint magnet (well at least not such a noticeable one).

Well, from what I hear, the Wii U's OS itself takes up 4 gigs, so if you buy the 8GB version, you're only actually getting 4GB.

I'm definitely going for the deluxe.

All depends on whether you're going to use the space or not, I'd imagine they have the Wii store again? Of course, they also still might have that megabyte limit like they had on the Wii store as well. Wasn't it like you could only have a game on the store if it was 100 megs?

I'm pretty sure it waws 40MB, actually.
That's why games like Super Meat Boy and Sonic CD never made it to the Wii Shop channel.

I'm guessing they're scrapping that, though. Or raising the file cap. I doubt GameCube games are less than 40MB.

Eh, should have known I guess. Always with backwards compatibility going back one system and one system alone.

It's understandable, though.

When the Wii came out, Gamecube games were still being made and sold, but since that's not true any more, it would make sense they wouldn't even bother making it backwards compatible with GameCube games, considering they'd have to advertise that fact, and it would just be weird for them to advertise backwards compatibility with a console they can't even make money with any more.

Once a new system or game comes out, they just kinda forget about everything in the past.
