I'd be happy to help with graphics, since it's about the only way a poor mapmaker like I could help with the project... however until I get my laptop back... I can only edit things in Paint and Fireworks (I can't convert, etc.)

Well I'll see what it looks like ingame. For the smiley thwomp.

edit: WOW that was bizarre. The way his smallish smile looks when you're close to it so it's only cautious just looks... It makes it look... I'm not even gonna say it. I guess when you're next to it with it smashing constantly it's a bit less weird but it's still weird.


YCZ, nice lemons. (Wow that was odd.) And Nice timer.

With the thwimp maybe you could try making a lil' face thingy. Except for faceless looks perfectly fine too.

heres a twhimp. I can't add 1 ton because i can only do half of the thwimp, the other half is mirrored.

BTW i like those timed platforms.

i realy like the colour timer, nice job.

Yeah i tried doing the thwimp myself. Ultimatey i just wasn't happy with it because it resisted all attempts at shading and labelling.

Machoman, I think you should really try adding a bit of shading to your thwimp weight. Solid black isn't very good in my opinion.

The shading is nice but now it doesn't look like one of the traditional acme weights. i do like the idea of using weights but i just don't think it works.

Oh man, I updated Bony Beetles moving animation like it was no thing. (But I was near to the point to start crying, because he didn't want to be like I wanted him to be :o )

I should put my list in alphabetical order... Don't want to do it right now though. I'll do it tomorrow! With all latest sprites included. Stay tuned!

Also: timing platforms are awesome. And it kinda makes me think of a slice of citron so that's good.
The weight: grey is much better. At least now you can see some shades.

The bony beetle walking looks much better now, though the outline colour for both enemies looks a little squiffy? You might be working on that though.

Potential coin idea?:

Only problem is i think one of the coins' incarnations (in gfx01) uses mirroring to produce a two tile coin from a single tile. For the gfx33 animation i could try and make it spin though if people like the idea. i definitely think it should be vegetable related due to plot, except if there are these vegetables everywhere how can the charlies be said to be hoarding them. Oh well.

There isn't alot of people doing anything with fish so I may look into that after the goomba and thwomp. But feel free to do something with fish or the other aquatics if you have an idea, I encourage it.

I also wanna try something with eeries, but how can i change what palette is used for a certain enemy? Like cuz I need to use a mostly red palette.

edit: errr how would I use a bunch of black color palettes.....

with Tweaker http://www.smwcentral.net/download.php?id=26&type=tools you can change the palette in the ROM of the ennemys! Just don't forget to tell us what palette you use ^^

Quick explanation on the minimal colors... I watched a LP by someone (Either raocow, MoltovMarioWorld, or maybe even (though I doubt it due to how many hacks he has) SirRonLionHeart) of a wireframe-looking level, and I wanted to emulate that style in my own way

Well that looks exactly like the CFG editor that comes with sprite tool? And also very confusing I need a tutorial.

And the little force field that guy has the purple makes me not notice the diomond shaped greenish one (Also theres that the sprite itself is that color too)

Animerules - That's an interesting thwimp. Are the black things it's eyes? Very snake like.

Machoman - Can you send me the GFX for that shaded thwimp? I wanna try something with it.
