hope I didn't forget anything.

Also holy cow, there hasn't been a submission here in forever!

Either people are being, in a sense, 'too slow', or clearing is being to stringy, or SOMETHING, haha. Dang.

Here's level 131

If I left something out, I shouldn't be hard to get a hold of.

Edit* Crap I forgot!

The freespace the baserom is currently using will break my level. KilloZapit finally diagnosed that the freespace a2mt chose was using something lunar magic put my map16 page on. So he recommended using freespace in the original level areas. It does seem like it would clear up a lot of romspace and it's very unlikely that lunar magic will use that space as levelasm gets updated, thus preventing future conflicts. He sent me to $0780C3 which is what finally got the code inserted. The only thing we need to do to use this space is move the original level data to expanded rom space, which is under file>levels>clear original level data area. Then that data will get overwritten as levels are inserted, so it frees up a good probably 20% of romspace, and is all around a good idea.

chdata said he agreed with killozapit, and that it would be updated when I submit, but I only included the levelcode and levelinit for my sublevels, so whoever inserts the level will need to change the freespace and clear the original level data.

You can make your level however you want, any theme or difficulty. All the overworld stuff will be decided after all the levels are submited.

OK I have tested my level and it works fine. It isn't long and it is an easy level. so here it is:
Edit: It uses messege blocks 1 and 2, 1 says: use these wisely.
and 2 says: What film reference is this

No...
First, put your level in the Testing and Development thread. And it has to be an ips not a level file. When people play it and say that it is good you can put it in the Level Clearing thread. After you are cleared, you can submit it here. And read the original post of this thread so you submit it right.

Here's my level. Again, hopefully I didn't miss anything.
[Effectively cleared by FoD.]

edit: forgot text file eh here it is here:

Code: Select all

shoulda put this in earlier but...

13.mwl
35.mwl
36.mwl

Map16 for FG on page 31, background stuff on page 51.

All BGs use bank 1, if that got changed or something.

Secondary exit stuff:

013:
Goes to 35, screen 7.
x=4
y=A
S=0

079:
Goes to 13, screen 11.
x=1
y=5
S=1
FG and BG are both set to C0.

07A:
Goes to 35, screen 2
x=4
y=0
S=1
FG and BG both set to C0.

The chest goes in 013, in the tight space in the bit after the midpoint, where the pink box is now.

Here's my level. As I mentioned in the level clearing thread, I used green fire instead of creating bubbles but I implemented limepie20's and flameofdoubt's other suggestions (time, replace munchers, etc). As I mentioned numerous times, it still needs custom cave music but that'll be determined later. As usual, let me know if I forgot something.

Okay. I had my level cleared by FoD quite a while ago, but since then, I've changed a few things around, and I got my level ASM fixed.
Hopefully I didn't forget anything.

Alright, flameofdoubt said he'd clear my level if I made some minor changes to it and they have been made. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait for an official "You're cleared now," or something, but it looks like others went ahead and submitted stuff here, so... Yeah.

Level10C, "Undermoore Passage".

Hopefully I got everything in there!

Okay, limepie cleared me, so I'm submitting everything. I didn't fully understand the first post on the first page but I assume it's ok. :mrgreen:

I corrected the readme, I inserted a song in slot 3F but it was supposed to be in the slot 51.

edit: There is no LevelASM file inside because I thought it wasn't necessary if I didn't use any asm, I got it wrong?

edit2: Ayayaya forgot level and title!

Yeah, what raocow said.
If you're not using LevelASM, then you don't need a file saying that you're not using any lol.
