It is actually your Map 16 that is too big. By graphics file do you mean the one created by lunar magic when you insert/extract GFX, or the EX Graphics file?

I fail to see how the Map16 files can be too big. They are both 0x10 pages, and there is nothing that can be done to change that. The only time I have gotten that error is when I tried to insert a too big graphics file, i.e. one that was a whole page instead of half of one.

I downloaded the map 16 file.
Renamed Map16FGG to ExGFX81
Inserted it into the ROM as FG3
Press OK and "FG/BG ExGFX file is too large!"
What did I do wrong?

Here is my level for the hack (#104). Let me know if you need any other files. Also let me know what you think of it! :)
The level name would be "The Bureau of Capitalism" unless anyone can come up with something better.

BlackDS: Have you managed to beat your level yourself without using emulator tools? Because parts of it just seem kind of unfair... And then there's the fact that if you lose your cape and enter the wrong door, you are irrevocably stuck. As for graphical issues, you seem to have fixed most of them, apart from the fact that the skulls still look like skulls when the silver P-switch is pressed, even though you can collect them as coins...

In other words, your level still needs some work.

GreenLiquid: It seems like you forgot to include quite a bit of things in your submission, such as the .mwl files for the sublevels and the Map16 files. And the background of the one level you did include is all messed up.

I agree that the levels should be able to be beaten savestateless, but let's not forget that raocow is more skilled than the average person, so if some testers can beat it without tools, it's fine if you ask me.

BlackDS: You use ExAnimation.

DaxterSpeed: You didn't forget anything in your submission. However, forcing the player to die if he hasn't found one of the switch palaces is generally considered bad. Apart from that, the level seems pretty good, if a bit short.

What part? I've tested the level many times without ANY switch palace tiles. Then I added some tiles for making it easier IF you have found a switch palace.

Level 31. There simply doesn't seem to be any way to get up to the pipes on the upper level: You can't jump high enough from the left pillar, and from the right one, jumping from the absolute left edge still falls just short of the blue blocks.

Are you running when trying to jump from the right pillar? (I know it works. If you need evidence just ask me for a video (I don't have a screen-recorder right now though.))

Also: After getting shot out of the pipe, you should hold jump. So you can get to the vine.

How in the world are you supposed to get a running start on a platform that isn't any more than two blocks wide?

YCZ you can add some feather blocks to the bonus room I made if you want (I think it's make more sense to do that anyways) And whatever the name is could you also change it to something like "The Secret Stash" or somethind. And since the Charlies are going to be evil you could probably change the text to something like

-Charlie-
So you managed to find this place? Then that must mean you've defeated King Charles... I have to applaud your power, so In that case we're now guarding them for you. Be careful because the two guards over there don't really know that yet.

I'd advise against directly copying that because I don't know if it'd fit.

Aw man, I actually played my level (as in no savestates) and it is wayy too thingish :)
Oh btw, I edited a little bit (8 pixels) in the 8x8 graphics editor, does that matter at all?

Okay, YCZ. I'm going to film my level right now.

I can promise you that it's possible.

[EDIT] I've now changed some stuff in the level so it becomes "easier". Plus that now you can actually get that three up moon.

[EDIT_2] I've uploaded a changed version now! Plus, I've got a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtMMrBmDIr4

oh god the stupidity argh

I completely forgot that you could jump, turn around in midair, and still preserve your running speed...

However, there is still one thing. After entering the pipe that brings you to the high-up green switch blocks, you almost always get at least one bee placed high enough for you to bounce off it to the vine and get the exit early.

Hm... I've no idea how to fix that. I tried to test that out a couple of times. And for me all the bee's came at a pretty low point.

[EDIT] Maybe you can fix this yourself. Just shorten the vine on a little. And place it one block away.

I can't to early after doing that so...

this actually needs to go in the testing topic, but have you thought the coin barriers through? If you start the level with 30+ coins, you can automatically move on. That's fine. You don't need to do all difficult with getting them coins. But what if you start with 24 coins. How do you know you have enough coins to pass the barrier? it might be 40 coins.
Also, the ice break paths are maybe a tiny bit too long, but that's not that big of an issue. If you want you can shorten it by 2 rows though.

Also, YCZ, can you find any good music that fits this level? I couldn't, and the music it has now doesn't fit that good.

@YCZ
Just to clear this up (IDK if it already has, I'm too lazy to look through the whole thread), the trial version of WinRAR will continue to un-rar things after the trial is up. You just can't put things in a rar after the trial.
