It's a pity the overworld doesn't have more than four usable object palettes, or I would have put in some lava flows... Oh well.

You should change to palette on the block you can pick up to be darker. I didn't realize it was grabbable until you did.

So how easy is it to prevent flying again? I'd kind of like it disabled in this level I'm making, while still having capes OK

I may have went overboard with the difficulty in my secret exit, and I'll be damned if I let anyone cheese it

I know in the VIPs sometimes you can't fly in certain levels (the sky ghost house in that one comes to mind) so it has to be able to be done level by level

But if its something I don't have to worry about offhand, then I'll be ok

Is anyone using Map16 frozen block/frozen coin custom blocks? My level is using them and I figured it
would be redundant to waste extra Map16 space if someone else is using them too.

If YCZ gets the time, maybe he can give us a list of what all custom sprites, graphics, and map16 are in use for convenience sake

Also, I may have made a really really difficult secret exit for my level. Do you guys think its ok to have a significant spike in difficulty for a secret exit? I'll have a video sometime, it depends on when youtube lets me upload it (I might tone it down anyway, I can't even beat it savestateless)

Also, if possible (and if someone else isn't already using it), I'd like it if someone more graphically inclined can make the custom ice block/ice coin block GFX. Mine came out pretty meh.

Is there a way to make green apples only give 1 second to time instead of the normal 20? I can't do asm or whatever. Because I have this idea for an appley level.

@Argumentable: If you take away the cape blocks, I can put a sprite at the start of the level that resets Mario's powerup and item box item.

And with all those sprites with their graphics swapped to look like Phanto, why not make Charlie's head one, too?

@chdata: That would depend on whether or not anyone else wants to use the green apples, as changes would be global.

I'd prefer it if the cape was available and you just couldn't fly, but that works, I guess

Also I think it works better without phanto-head chuck because you don't immediately know everything is phanto

Edit: Is it possible to get the ? blocks to only shoot out mushrooms? I don't want to use the switch palace blocks because I hate switch palaces. I tried to map16 it and it works, except for the fact the blocks are invisible without the switch palace

yes thats possible, you put a ? block on the map16 thing and make it act like a YellowSwitchBlock. Then it will only throw out Mushrooms. And it is Always avalaible, even if you havn't press The Yellow Switch Palace Switch yet.

The problem isn't that its not available, the problem is that the boxes are invisible. I'm using 16B for the block, is that wrong?

Edit: It just occurred to me that the ? block I'm using JUST MAY have been the invisible one (it was)

So, now with YCZ adding the no powerup thing, my level should be about set. The phanto part is much easier to me now, I don't know if its because I tried it a lot or having two mushrooms helps. I'm gonna guess a bit of both

I have but one more level to give after this (for special level island)

You might have to use a custom palette for them though, so colors are changeable

Also apparently they don't stack like that very well, but they're easily made square if you want to put them like that
