All the S@nics - the end

this is the place where lps are being talked about. it's important to talk about games being played on the internet.

I forgot how strict the time limit in hard mode is. I definitely remember missions 3 and 4 a lot more, probably because they're unique compared to normal levels, and also when going for A ranks you don't have the time to just take it slow and drive like a granny. But watching raocow struggle with hard mode I remembered that I had a hard time here as well the first time I played. I think I remember trying to avoid the cars as much as possible, because they can really eat up your speed, especially if you crash into multiple cars in a row.

It's not you that should be sorry, not your fault when a game is hard or bad!

I do think that this would feel better if the LP that 'got hit', long term, was the LP that caused the problem. Possibly, once you're past whatever's causing these nightmare recording sessions, you could skip a couple days of Sonic to record extra for the other LPs -- make Sonic "pay back what it borrowed from the other games", kinda. After you're through this, so you don't have it over your head.

EDIT: I don't actually mind missing a couple days of videos! (it's a drop in the bucket, you make so many videos that when I follow more than one of your LPs I have to catch up on weekends!) But if you're stressing about this, that'd be an option to make things 'feel fair' maybe.

raocow it's okay. You don't need to apologize. You're allowed to be a human being and not just a video machine. The vast majority of people on Youtube don't even manage one video per day with any sort of consistency, never mind three every day. People can deal with no Mario or HL2 videos for a couple of days. It's fine.

I hope you are currently feeling less stressed than you seemed to be in the video.

It all keeps tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down... :garish:

if you want a break tomorrow but still want to make a Sonic video, why not show off the test stage on one of the port versions?

Tails giving up with the president right in front of him and closing ground makes even less sense when Tails tells Sonic he needs a few more minutes approximately one minute earlier. At this point it doesn't bother me though since i've accepted that Tails operates on a plane of logic and morality completely foreign to the rest of us.

had an argument with my partner over route 101 hard mode today and i admit that i hadn't played it in years and years but like i swear that shit is unforgiving as fuck

in an effort to prove how hard it was, i went to the old gamecube and fired it up and then beat her high score by about a second on my first try

oops

im good at videogames it turns out.
tho that speedrunning advice about drifting was really good. remember to stop drifting when you're not at full speed and don't even start drifting unless it's for a turn or to retain boost speed.

I remember getting A ranks in missions 3 and 4 in this stage being particularly difficult. That part where the road loops around and goes under itself is difficult to do fast while avoiding the walls, and then there's the big narrow part close to the end, where it's difficult to both avoid walls and try to pass cars.

Hard mode is once again very strict but this time you aren't even guaranteed to get an A rank just by beating it. I was kind of hoping to see the rankings spell out DADDA, but seeing raocow go into a fit of laughter after seeing the B rank more than made up for it.

I would suggest going back on the "doing all five missions at once" thing
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

I haven't been following very close but I'm very confused why he's still playing it

I don't think multiple difficulties has ever been a thing he's done?

he did it for sonic drift, but this is less All The Difficulties and more All The Emblems (which he did do for SA1 if I remember right since it locked content).

Honestly when I saw the video I figured you wanted to go back and A rank Route 280's hard mode mission, because injured pride. Either that, or you completely forgot how to play as Shadow. The former seemed more plausible.

Someone else posited that you were memeing to cause a third delay for half-life 2 or something.

I was pretty surprised to HL2 shortly afterwards.
