so are hell temple or gate of time the surface's backside?
one could say the surface is just outside the mother so it doesn't have a backside, but if hell temple is literally hell then it may as well count?

gate of time i don't know, in the original it was

Yomar

's world from Maze of Galious and even more outside the game's scope

Hell Temple and Gate of Time are backside areas, but don't have frontside equivalents.

Don't worry about it too much.

Oh man remember the moment a year ago raocow got the Mulana Talisman and he shouted in a loud voice "ON THE CURSED TREASURE! OHHH!!!!!" surely the finest moment of the LP that's getting a sequel hopefully later this year

this was totally worth bumping a thread for the first time in two months :pily:

can i ask you why cyril's post in the jumphalf thread bothered you enough to make this weirdly passive-aggressive post? cause it seemed like a really inconsequential thing to me. if you're like, trying to lightheartedly rib on their post, it doesn't read that way

I mean, I read the post and thought "man, I really should follow through with my idea of figuring out how to edit videos and splice together a best-moments-of-La-Mulana compilation before the sequel gets played"

So, there's that

P.S. I know nothing about video editing but am willing to learn, if anyone happens to have any suggestions as to a moderately-friendly-for-a-new-user tool to accomplish what I describe above, I'd be eager to hear them

stitching together video clips is something you could do in pretty much any editor ever, even free ones. really just need to download the videos you want (plenty of youtube downloaders out there), cut the parts you want in the editor, put them all in a row, and render

It's an unplayable mess that takes like thirty seconds from death to reload, and a very loud annoying buzz as you do so.

Oh see I thought it was like Cave Story where the WiiWare version is just a graphical update
