Re: Who Knows How Much of Who in the Omni-Catcher - Chaotix - Two Rings to Rule Them All
Why are these random bonus levels better than most of the actual game
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Re: Who Knows How Much of Who in the Omni-Catcher - Chaotix - Two Rings to Rule Them All
i get the distinct feeling that they're actually just flat-out the proof-of-concept levels left in as extra content. they certainly feel like they occupy the weird middle ground of having stuff to show off ( partner and tether ring physics, gimmicky monitors, 32x visual effects w/ the flowers, and gimmicks that don't see use in the actual stages like the character switches ) and not having core gameplay features like enemies or any real goal to the levels ... although, granted, that last bit wasn't exactly anything the main game levels had, either
Re: Who Knows How Much of Who in the Omni-Catcher - Chaotix - Two Rings to Rule Them All
I'm not sure I'd call them better since it was still a mess in design. Why the game didn't have variety, I'll chalk that up to time and budget constraints because this one was clearly rushed.

Re: Who Knows How Much of Who in the Omni-Catcher - Chaotix - Two Rings to Rule Them All
the screen at the end ( probably ) isn't a special stage, but rather an unfinished map screen
iirc they're even called the same thing as the hub areas in sonic adventure, although i have no idea if that naming scheme somehow comes from the game itself or if it was coined by fans

Fun Sonic Facts!
The prototype ROM of Sonic Crackers will crash on real Mega Drive hardware, but only if the player does not skip the SEGA screen quick enough or hangs around the title screen for too long. The cause of this crash is due to the sound driver trying and failing to find a music ID for both instances. (which is and controlled by the Z80 sub-processor) - if it isn't given a music track ID to process quick enough after being set up, the game will fail.

They gave me an eight and a half minute ad for this vid, but because you had to endure Knuckles' Chaotix, I'll let it play while I take care of some stuff. Enjoy that ad money, man. You earned it.

I wanna see a Chaotix ROM Hack now that replaces all the characters with Demo ones.
Re: All The S@nics - Cheese - Porcupines and ABCD's Loop-the-Loop
What would such a Thing even be called? A Demo Chaotix Thing? A Better Chaotix & Demo? (that could maybe work. ABC&D)?

omygosh I totally forgot to put in this super important ring count data for Sonic Crackers, so here you go:
Total Rings collected in Sonic Crackers: 0

Fun Sonic Facts!
Tails' Skypatrol (テイルスのスカイパトロール) is a Sonic spin-off game for the Game Gear and was only ever released in Japan (possibly because Tails being the hero was too much for American audiences to accept, or because the Game Gear was basically dead in American waters by 95'). It stars Miles "Tails" Prower (now trapped in a permanent flying state) who joins a "Sky Patrol" to save an unnamed island by defeating the evil villainess Witchcart, who turns any that oppose her into crystals with magic. This is the only appearance by Witchcart and her minions in _any_ Sonic-or Sonic adjacent game. Dr. Robotnik, the villain of most Sonic games, is completely absent, with not even a reference.
The game, like most 90s spinoffs, appears designed for younger audiences but is extremely difficult, as Tails falling, bumping into an object or touching the ground makes the player lose a life.

Re: A Thousand Miles - Skypatrol - A Quick Flyover In Salem
the training area theme sounds pretty similar to "it's the most wonderful time of the year" in some spots
as we never see wendy witchcart in the games after this one, we can safely assume she died in jail or something

I always died on the first few screens of this game when I was a kid. Somehow.

I find the Tiny Toon-ass character designs really funny.
Also, from my experience playing it, this game blows.
