I couldn't have said it better myself, CVS Announcer. An open invitation of entry to this monumental event has been presented to all talkhaus and discordhaus members, in the form of this very thread! All competitors, new and old, are welcome to participate! If you're unfamiliar with how this works, allow me to give brief explanation! -

The Gist
There'll be a set of 55 video game song snippets! I've decided the theme this time around will be - Fighting Games! So there will be 45 vgm songs from varying game genres and 10 vgm songs from fighting games that I've determined/marked. Please send your guesses through PM/DM to AmeijinMayo on talkhaus and Mayoh on Discord.

The Scoring

• 2 points will be awarded if you guess the exact game the song comes from correctly!
• 1 point will be awarded if you guess the right series the song comes from!
• Some songs may appear in more than one game, but you'll need to inform me of the exact game the song comes from for the full 2 points. Songs may be remixed or have different origins, so do your best to get a full K.O!
• You can gain an additional 1 point if you guess whether or not the song was from a fighting game that I've marked. You can only guess 10 of them, so guess wisely!
• While putting this list of songs together, coincidentally, 4 of them happen to be based off of the different seasons. You won't get any points from identifying which ones these are, but if you do identify them, you'll get a shout-out during the final results.
• Your points will be doubled for one song if you manage to nail the song's game or series solo(aka you were only one to know)!
• 5 points to anyone who identifies the intruder song, which doesn't appear in any game at all! How the heck did they sneak into this tournament?

The Hints

• Please feel free to PM/DM for a hint if you need an assist with identifying the song.
• You may ask up to 2 hints, penalty free!
• -1 point if you ask 3-5 hints, thus taking a hit to your score.
• -3 points if you ask anything past 5 hints, don't go too wild with hints if you don't want to take a big hit to your score.
• The penalty is rough, but I'll do my best to make the hints assist to the fullest.
• Note - asking me for more hints on the same song will still add to the hint counter, so please be weary!

The Deadline

• The deadline for the contest will be Dec. 10th @ 10 PM MST
• You're free to swap out guesses for songs before the deadline.
• But your guesses for what the fighting game songs are will be are locked, be sure to K.O the right songs!

Count me in on this one. Have to pay attention to the rules a bit more since there's that extra tidbit with the whole fighting game deal here. Did all right for a first pass, but there are a lot of ones that I'm just scratching my head at since I don't know where they're specifically from.

I do not have a way of taking answers from the patapon spotzone. Folks from patapon spotzone are welcome to enter the contest, but I will need a middleman as I'm not a user who has access to the patapon spotzone. If you have any reccommendations, please let me know, thank you.

I have like 3 I'm sure of, and like 3 or 4 more I could find out, other than that I only have a few guesses for the series the come from.
Man, this is rough. Although there's a few with lyrics which i could theoretically find.

Mid contest update - This has been great, there has been plenty submissions for guesses so far. My apologies for not being as frequent last week, I had quite a bit of shifts to do at work. But it's all done and I can promptly reply to submissions this week asap. Thanks for all the guesses and I hope the contest has been fun thus far.
