I'm gonna be honest, I decided to make breakfast while listening to this episode instead of actually watching. Seemed like the more productive option

Whilst i'm glad we get more Spinball since the pinball talk was fun the first time around, this game looks like a whole ass.

Aren't those just scaled down and recolored graphics from Lava Powerhouse?

Feels like the Fresca version of Sonic Spinball's Coca-Cola here. No real comment on this one other than that.

Fun Sonic Facts!

The 8bit version of Sonic Spinball was the final Sonic title released for the Sega Master System, excluding Brazil, which had a local SMS port of Sonic Blast as well.

well, it's less of a hassle to get through, but there's really no point to doing so, so that's why i wouldn't call it better. real spinball at least had stuff like the atmosphere and ideas that made it interesting to see, but this version is just meh all around
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

Watching this game at 1.5x speed makes the nonsense physics at least look a little less nonsense

It also makes the video over faster :^)

after all the talk of MS spinball being unplayable hot garbage, i'm surprised at how mediocre this is turning out to be.

To repeat and elaborate on my YT comment, I think the 16-bit Toxic Caves was better, but this is definitely the better Lava Powerhouse just because it's not as annoying. Of course the boss is lacking its tension and infamous scare with the chain, but the entry is also less frustrating. I doubt the original version of The Machine can be bested by this effective demake, but we'll see if The Showdown is less terrible on 8-bit.

i gotta give a huge shoutout to how tuneless and forgettable the music is in this game

like even the other 8bit master system games at least usually had decent-sounding music?

I don't know if Taz-Mania had a Master System port, but it definitely had memorable music on the Game Gear, if nothing else

The best meal I had in the past 24 hours had to be the dinner I had at my parent's earlier tonight. Super awesome home-made tacos :catplanet:
