"Such was that happy garden-state" is a quote from The Garden by Andrew Marvell talking about how nice and relaxing the garden is. The "not so that" is ambiguous, but I think it's used in the sense of "the garden isn't so nice and relaxing while there's a princess to rescue". (I think. Ask morsel if you wanna know for sure)

Those first two levels today felt like your standard SMW hack filler. The "spin jump off precariously placed enemies" and "crumbling bridge" levels that seem to appear everywhere (Japanese hacks *especially* love that latter one), but the third level (Botanical Plant) was really cool. The shooty plants were clever, well utilized, and were honestly really funny. The one that spit out saws especially had me laughing. Good jorb, Pyro.

World 4 has a couple neat breather-ish opening levels and then right back into the grinder with Brothers in Arms. Spin-jumping on boomerangs is just kinda weird with how fast they go?
Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.

I can't change my username but I go by Vali/Claire now (aka call me Vali or Claire at your leisure ^^).

I never update this currently playing section anymore, it's probably an RPG or something.

I made a level once with these aesthetics and submitted it to jumphalf
the level itself was kinda dumb though
so lolyoshi pretty much redesigned it from scratch
and now it's a good level!

Worth noting that the mechanism in Color a Dinosaur is abusing a vanilla glitch. ASM was only used to make the glitch happen consistently (normally, it would only happen 50% of the time).
is there an integer overflow when you become 256 years old

As far as I'm aware, this one. I'm not sure how this setup works in detail, though - you'd have to ask Nathan about that.

I don't think I need to reiterate how hilarious the ending of the Yoshi coloring house was but I will reiterate how hilarious it was anyway. The words spoken, the comedic timing, all of it. It felt like written comedy. I had to rewind and do a double take cause I thought you were doing a bit. I feel like this could go down as the raocow version of the infamous NorthernLion Pot Play.

Nah, not noticing a small change in Yoshi's sprite that was only on screen for about 2 seconds is nowhere near the Pot Play, in which there was a plain solution that was better than what NL was trying, he had minutes to realize it, he got a free bomb along the way, and there were several opportunities to buy a bomb in the shop, yet he wasted 25 coins and a bomb doing what could've been done for just the bomb.

Here raocow... walked away from a puzzle he has easy access to later.

It was pretty funny though.

I wonder if that's the first one level video, Color a Dinosaur is very much a thing, to the point where beating it doesn't give any exits (it's not required for 100% completion).

The obscure P-Switch location is supposed to prevent player from accidentally finding that there is a puzzle in this stage, but I guess raocow somehow managed to find it and not notice it???

How unsurprising of JUMP to give you a yoshi exchange station and immediately take yoshi away from you the next level. Just once I'd like to see a romhack balanced around having Yoshi available rather than needing to have him euthanized every other level.

The video for the level shows how to solve it and that is absolutely how it's done, there's no other ways I can think of that can pull off all that.

It's a pretty neat level showcasing just how weird some stuff with Yoshi is in this game I guess. I do appreciate boo Charlie Yoshi though, that's good. Wonder what boo Charlie Yoshi is capable of. Also I'll admit that I thought that somehow this would unlock the postgame world or something but it doesn't have an exit so it wouldn't lead anywhere.

So, do the other Yoshis do anything unique, or are they just pre-existing Yoshis with the wrong pallet loaded in?

They're all just Yoshis with messed up palettes and all will equate to one of the normal colors (like how the weird golden-brown Yoshi was actually just a blue Yoshi).

That puzzle was absolutely amazing

The reward feels kinda disappointing, though. I mean...DEMO! Why use anything else!? Unless it gave you a raocow skin.
