Chex Quest is regarded as a good game, at the very least.

Dunno how HD will turn out, tho.

(The written dialogue in the YouTube video is in Korean but is in English in the Steam video.)

There's an SMB1 one too.

The Famicom and PC Engine's CPUs both have a 65xx core (NES being 6502, PCE being based more on 65C02), and that's why it's so easy to port NES games to the TG16.

Yeah. I think at one point someone was working on a crude tool that could convert famicom games to pc engine.

Not sure if I've requested this already, but it would be awesome to see rao take on SotC. Not sure if this is his kind of game or not though.

If this hack is ever played, it would be super important to figure out the implications of a "permanent game-over" for an lp. Currently, qubictom is managing up to the beginning of world 3 on limited lives. However, game-overing on one of the last levels would not make for a very interesting lp (unless progress was re-gained off-screen). However, from what I have seen so far, nearly everyone who plays with infinite lives has a less positive experience than those that play with limited lives (most likely because the risk-reward gimmick of the hack is useless on infinite lives).

everyone loves puzzle time with raocow right?
this is a game where you
1. push blocks
2. solve puzzles
3. are a cute animal

so it's basically full bore, except not at all remotely similar
it is however very clever
i've honestly never played a video game in my life

Baba Is You is excellent, but not at all a game I'd recommend raocow LP.

I mean, Full Bore and La-Mulana are still sideview exploration games, I wouldn't think this would have to be said but I think it's pretty key to why he plays them.

Throwing in a request for Azure Striker Gunvolt. It's not for the AtMM thread since I think that would stray a little too far off course, but ASG clearly takes inspiration from the Zero and ZX games even if how you take down enemies is different. And unlike MN9's take on classic and X-style gameplay, I think this one turned out to be pretty good.

Been replaying Actraiser for the past day or so and I feel like it'd make for an interesting raocow LP.

It's very light in RPG mechanics, it's roughly just: the more citizens you have, the more health you have.
The sim segments are also very basic and easy to comprehend and the action segments aren't too complicated.

It's also a little rough around the edges, as can be expected from a launch title, but it still holds up. Really short too.

In addition, the Japanese release is harder than the cakewalk of the US/PAL release, but you do require a bit of reading skills to get through the game. A translation patch for the JP release is right here, because I know rao likes his games with a spicy kick.

Also raocow playing god would probably make for a funy series

I wouldn't recommend the sequel, the US version is made even harder (and the game is already pretty bullshit to begin with) and the controls, while more complex and varied, are just awkward and messy. Really good graphics and sound but level design and enemy placement is just Bad.

hey, I'd like to request an smw hack that I am pretty stoked to see released. I am talking about Evil Conquest 2 - a chocolate (choconilla?) hack created by darkdlp02 and luks. The levels seem to be high quality and the levels they are releasing all seem to have a fun concept with cool level design. It's going to be pretty fun I think and it's been in development for a very long time.

It's not released yet, though. Here's the most recent trailer of evil conquest 2:

There is also Evil Conquest 1 on SMWCentral which is also pretty good, even though it's from 2014/2015.

Here's the trailer for Evil Conquest 1:
