congrats on impressing your friends btw

this isn't spoilers but you're already remembering things wrong and i'm letting you know so you don't waste a billion years tomorrow, you got the gem in city. you're missing the gems in the first area, in the ruins, and in the temple. you don't have to get them all in one run either, so you don't need to redo the ones you already have

So, is that ending different if you managed to beat the game without collecting a single strawberry?

The second to best ending feels like it has the most genuine compliments, oddly enough

Well, if you go out of your way to impress your friends, of course they're gonna be awed. It also might be a tiny nod towards overenthusiastic achievement hunters in that those who do become obsessed with strawberry-picking find themselves showered in slightly excessive praise for their efforts - but hey, after getting all those strawberries, I was happy to hear it!

I do enjoy that you don't have to get every single strawberry to get the best reaction. In fact, you get a margin of 30

or 50

to get the best reaction. This does mean you don't get anything outside of an achievement for collecting them all, I enjoy the room to be imperfect.

I do also love that you're apparently baking a pie out of 150 strawberries.

i haven't even done summit yet, it's... long
i've gotten to 3000M once but i was so nervous i died in a stupid way
also for what it's worth i think the temple is still easier than the hotel. about half the level is literally free, it's mostly the theo section that the end that gave me trouble. it's long but honestly about the same length as hotel

Is he not doing the b-sides first? Seems like they'd actually be the logical thing to do honestly.

If Celeste is like Super Meat Boy and doesn't add story for the b-sides (which seems to be the case, though I've only played the first one) then I'd disagree. Makes more sense in my opinion to conclude the story at the conclusion or near the conclusion of the game, not right in the middle of it.

I dunno, like I feel like chapter 8 is also gonna have it's b side, in which case it's best to play all of one side first

yes, keep playing the a-sides lol
chapter 8 is easier than most of the b-sides, it's about on par with the first two imo
and yes, it has a b-side

Really looking forward to the b-sides, i don't know anything about them but the idea of a "loop 2" appeals to me
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

If it helps, the momentum platforms basically act exactly like the clouds in that you get the highest/farthest jump off them when they're bouncing you back. The difference here is that what angle of momentum you get depends on where you're positioned on them when you leap off. You'll get used to it in time, I'm sure!

same, I'm glad he's held off on 'em until the end. I'm anticipating some turbo editing and super satisfaction

The red platforms in this level are pretty finicky to get the hang of. They always seem to throw you just slightly off from where you want to go.

Those switches that change things from lava to ice and back, look an awful lot like the AUS hearts,

Which makes sense, considering who made.
