Don't worry too much about it. I don't hate somebody just because I dislike their level(s). And for the record, I only hated room B; the rest were net neutral at worst.(a) wrote: ↑6 years ago fml
don't want the last impression of me to be that of
complete hate so here's a traditional mario level for
players of normal skill to show that i can make them:

i would also like to apologize to raocow,
the talkhaus and the smbx community.
i made the level like raocow's maglx2 (that he made the
level for himself) level, but my tastes are too different
from the audience and afaik everyone hates my level.
sorry.

Hate the level, not the maker
Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.

Apology accepted! I'd also like to apologise for my hyperbole and especially if the comments myself and others made got to you personally. I stand by my criticism, you really need to think about who's likely gonna play your games when you put them out there - and fwiw I really liked the non-boss stages - I just think that the third and boss stages were definitely not suited to the SMBX engine. It's cool, you likely couldn't have known it'd be played by an LPer with a fanbase for four consecutive days and put under the spotlight and scrutinised like that by a community with such different tastes. But man, I gotta ask - what was with the message in the files? You really that crazy-good with the SMBX engine?

Hi. It's your noodle, Noodle. You guys should know me from SMBX forums and SMW central. I am a huge fan of Mario, especially SMBX 2.0. I am very autistic, and I am young so expect me to be stupid at times. I do not know why I joined here even though I am on the SMBX forums. Probably for some LunaLua tips and more focus on SMBX2.

hi, noodle.
just gonna inform you that both of these things are things which are much more prominent over on the smbx forums, so i suggest that if you need something regarding smbx2, you're more likely to get a quick response there.

Hello! I'm Mister Apple, you might know me from Super Mario Boards, I guess?
I'm new to raocow, I started watching his videos near the end of Level Contest Japan. I got into him because of TV Tropes, which is slightly obsessed with him. I probably won't be that active here, but I wanted to make an account all the same.
I'm British, so I use strange words.
EDIT:Mario?

Hello there!
Long-time watcher and fan, I mostly hang around in the Touhou community currently. I've had an interest in things like ROM hacking and level design for a long time, but I've never really had the opportunity to sit down and put something together for public release.

I’m that odd person who’s been providing musical background for the Patapon Spotzone tabletop sessions for several months now! If you’re on raocow patreon and see some audio links beginning with yadi.sk, that's likely recorded by me.

I forgot my username and accidentally made another account but then I recovered this one.
I recently remembered raocow existed and started watching his All the Megamen videos since I'm a big fan of those games. Then I remembered this place existed! Wahoo!

Hey there everyone, how's it going?
Been a huge fan of raocow's for years, found him through his most famous video ever over half a decade ago, and have been watching him on a semi-regular basis since! Been watching religiously since about this time last year or maybe a little after that, don't actually remember!
Thought I'd actually make an account and maybe interact with other fans of the rao'est of cows!
Exclamation points!

Hey
So, like, this is a forum, right? With words?
Oh man, I'm terrible at these introduction things.
Anyway, been watching raocow since the 12th of April 2013 (remembered the exact video that was up that day), when I was just getting into let's plays. I typed his name into the Youtube search bar knowing that he was an LPer, but I can't remember exactly why I knew that. I think it was either because Proton Jon mentioned his name, or because I kept seeing references to him on TV tropes. Either way, he's really the only LPer that's been a solid, semi-solid mainstay in my Youtube viewing experience since.
Thought about joining the talkhaus a couple of times, but for some reason never did. I tend to be pretty reticent when it comes to stuff like that, I guess because I was kind of worried it would go terribly. I do quite like the creative vibe coming from projects like asmbxt, which I think is what's making me join now. I've been engaged in several creative things, mainly music composition and nature photography, and in the past year I took up programming and... visual art? The painting kind, but with less paint and more drawing tablet (I made my avatar just the other day). Never really kept a steady stream of anything going, though. Maybe that'll change here or not, but either way I need some place to thing...
...yeah this is going on a bit long and I'm starting to run out of my allotted words for the day, so I think I'll just click that submit

Re: Introduction/Welcome Thread
Hello all,
So, I've watched raocow's videos intermittently for quite a long time, ever since the original ASMT if memory serves. It was actually his work and the general culture surrounding Super Mario World hackers that got me into indie games, the Touhou Project, and other niche interests I still enjoy today.
It's great to see that everything's still going strong around here. I suppose I might be a bit of an amateur programmer, but most of the time I'm too busy with school and stuff to really think about contributing anything. Still love to play wand watch the occasional thing though!
Also talk to me about books I guess?
