yeah i still need to be her too but from what i've read she cast a spell that makes -you- get a debuff that causes the instakills, if you deal more than 300 damage to her. i think the intent is that you have to, not do that but it seems like a dumb meme boss regardless
i wish raocow good luck trying to figure that out on his own tho
When you get to it I can assure you that this one gimmick is going to be the least of your worries
i mean guys she's instakilling me from the very start of the fight you realize this right
Spam the Bunny Amulet. That attack is meant to deplete your charges, or else you're dead.

Alternatively, run to the very right edge of the screen and time your double jump so that the blast doesn't reach you. You can safely fall down into the edge of the blast; it won't actually hit you despite looking like it should. I guess the hitbox of the explosion vanishes after the initial expansion. (This is required when I attempt her, because she also hits me with Amulet Drain at the very beginning of the fight. She's at Level 150 for me, which may be different from other people's runs.)
she gives me 3 debuffs right from the start: instakill, no badges, no amulet. I don't know what you all are talking about with using amulet and badges.
those debuffs are exactly what you should be dodging, fellas
Pandora ? was always one of the tougher bosses for me. Since her room is right in the center of that maze of lower pyramid rooms, she caught me by surprise on like four different playthroughs because I kept entering her room from different paths. The Chaos Rod path is definitely the harshest because of how it traps you there. Kudos on escaping more or less painlessly!

use your bunny amulet to block the blasts that give you those debuffs

Oh, OFCOURSE raocow demos the purple boost as soon as he get's it (on purpose!), but still hasn't used the rainbow boost, if even accidently.
okay yeah i think i'm ready to give up on fighting
irisu
because it just isn't the least bit fun, i haven't even gotten much past half her health bar & from watching it youtube that's not even close to halfway through the battle
so yeah, that kinda sucks
i've honestly never played a video game in my life

it's best to have every power up in the game before fighting her and have a full stock of health items. You can collect the golden carrot again after using it. It's not a one time use item. Irisu is a tough fight because she heals when you take damage. You have to learn her patterns and not tank everything to the face. She's the final boss of the game excluding the DLC stuff.
Also a tip with boss levels:
Badges collected doesn't increase boss level but BP used does. The more useless badges you have equipped, the stronger you're making the boss with no benefit to you. It's a weird system. It's best to keep your BP usage to a minimum and only stick with the badges that you absolutely need.
Yeah, collecting everything makes a big difference.
Also, have you considered going into the fight with a full stack of buffs? That WILL help. I'm pretty sure Miru gives you all of them at once. They will be a bit drained by the time you actually get there but that's not that bad.
Yeah, as much as I dislike telling you things that you wouldn't necessarily already know from your own gameplay, you can't actually do anything in the long vertical looping tunnel right now. Best to head back the other way and resume other explorations.
Unrelated: As a general gameplay tip, it is worth your time to check your badges page every time you get a new Pack Up, to see if you can now equip more badges than you had on before.
Finally regrabbing this Game now on my own again and started a New Game on Normal instead on Novice.
Literally sequence breaked straight trough Vanilla as my First Town Villager
