Re: What music is stuck in your head right now?
Speaking of P5, at first I was a bit disappointed with the soundtrack because there weren't many vocal themes compared to 3 and 4.
At night a certain point after you beat the first palace though... (I think it was my birthday in fact...)

I gotta say, the soundtrack for P5 has been hitting all the right notes for me. I think it's because I do happen to like jazz music quite a bit and what Shoji Meguro did this time around was go for a Jazz/Lounge style of music for this game, which fits so gosh darn well. Previous games had different themes to their music as well, so I can see how some people wouldn't entirely embrace this game's soundtrack. But oh man, some of these songs just hit home so well.TheFinalSentinel wrote: ↑7 years ago Speaking of P5, at first I was a bit disappointed with the soundtrack because there weren't many vocal themes compared to 3 and 4.

Don't get me wrong, I love the soundtrack. I definitely enjoy some jazz, and Meguro certainly delivered.AmeijinMayo wrote: ↑7 years agoI gotta say, the soundtrack for P5 has been hitting all the right notes for me. It's just that Lyn has a great voice, and there are so few vocal tracks up to the point I'm at. It just feels like she's being underused.
Compare to the last two games which, if I remember right, had at least 3 or 4 vocal tracks by this point. Meanwhile, P5 has one that's only the prologue, one that's only after the first palace and only at night... which basically leaves only the battle theme.

Yeah, y'know what, when you put it that way it really does seem like Lyn gets a some showcase to that great singing to only so many songs. Perhaps there will be a future Persona concert or even extended OST that will provide some proper light to her singing.TheFinalSentinel wrote: ↑7 years agoDon't get me wrong, I love the soundtrack. Yukari's theme as played by RichaadEB. Dude does fantastic covers and I'm in love with his guitar's tone.

I used this song once for a level, and now I'm thinking about it.

Re: What music is stuck in your head right now?
Stayed up most of last night listening to my dad's old Bob Dylan tapes. Now I no longer have a concept of audio quality.
One had to undergo a combination of an archaeological excavation and a surgical operation in order to get it to work. Luckily, it had Desire on it, so that was worth it. On that album, he actually sounds like a professional singer! Who would have guessed?
I think I like Dylan's music, it turns out.

Dwarf Fortress' theme. There's a couple of nice arranges of it, but the original version is the best. Just so soothing yet at the same time haunting. The perfect piece for a slow day on the fort, or when a giant two-legged spider made of marble barges in and melts the skin of the hapless soldiers.

This series has always secretly had some of Nintendo's best soundtracks, and this song is another example of why. The Famicom version of it is great, too, but this remake takes it to another level.

I started Spirit of Justice the other day, and in the FIRST CASE there was one of my new favourite songs in the whole series
(i'd need to take some serious thought about what my favourite would be, but this would definitely be a contender)
