It's been a long wait, but A Hat in Time has finally been released.

This game is REALLY good, btw.

If you need any convincing, just imagine if you took Super Mario Sunshine's style of platforming/collectathon gameplay, and mixed with some of Psychonauts style of cartoon humor (but with a more cutesy, modest charm to it rather than the serious tone Psychonauts was going for).

I think the only reason this game isn't blowing up in popularity is because it's overshadowed by Cuphead and Super Mario Odyssey both coming out around the same time as it.

While I'm sure there'll be a fan English translation at some point, the game is supposedly being removed around Christmas.

If you have any interest in playing it, you should probably get it before then, at which point it'll probably be harder to find!

Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel, the sequel to the original Rosenkreuzstilette, finally got released on Steam today. This implies that the game is at last translated to English.

Apparently not only is a Spice Girls themed romhack but also an ARG with tons of hidden codes and puzzles. I think it would be both hilarious and interesting to see raocow try this one out!

someone mentioned link to the past rando a long time ago and after looking back at the "real-lifecore" videos I think for raocow who is familiar with alttp it'd be funny with the enemy randomizer (that got recently updated)

you wouldn't check it otherwise, after all
just run that on a standard seed to match the kind of experience of the other "real-lifecore" videos

I support more real-life-core videos, in any context. I love the idea.

I'm not sure I'd have the self-control to do it myself, but it fits the way you mostly only play games while recording, raocow -- you have experience playing a short burst of a game then setting it down.
