I'm saving money for next month when I move out into a different city. I thought I was doing pretty well, not spending money on stuff I didn't need.

Then I get slapped with a fucking $50 import fee for my $120 keyboard I bought TWO MONTHS AGO. If I knew I was going to have to pay that, I wouldn't have taken the damn thing when they delivered it. But they waited 2 months for it to be too much of a hassle to return it, THEN they tell you "oh by the way you owe us $50." I'm pissed at FedEx for waiting 2 months before telling me, and I'm pissed at the bullshit laws surrounding import/customs fees.

This was from Amazon.ca, advertised as free shipping. I know everyone gets really smug that I probably missed some fine print somewhere, but it should seriously be legally required for absurd shipping costs like that to be front and center when you're buying something online. This isn't a tiny little extra fee, it's half the fucking cost of the item. And it seems to be completely up in the air as to whether or not this will happen. It was only from US, and I've ordered plenty of things from the US that had either free shipping, or very low shipping. What's the difference? Who knows! But because you're on the wrong side of the border, you get robbed. You could ship something from California to Florida, like 3000 miles and it'll probably cost you like $5. But ship something from like, North Dakota to Manitoba, only separated by an invisible line, and suddenly you gotta pay 50% on top of the cost of the item. Bullshit.

Okay I originally had 3 paragraphs written about this but I think it can be summarized much shorter.
Am I normal for not liking babies? Is that something you get over eventually?
Because never in my life have I wanted to see or hold a baby.

As far as I know it's less common for males to be attracted to babies, since babies primarily usher people to tenderly take care of them, and guys tend to not be into the nurturing scene.

That said, this feeling might change once you start your own family, since taking care of your own child is different than taking care of someone else's.

It's 100% fine not to like babies. If you don't want children don't have any. If you want children but wanna skip the baby you could adopt. But as I said there is absolutely no reason to worry about not liking babies.

Like Zha Hong Lang, it's actually really common for guys and even relatively common amongst girls too. Not something to be too worried about really.

Oh, no I don't want a child either. They're just as bad if not worse since they're mobile.
I really like a lot of animals. I think it's because they have no social expectations for you. Like I was at a friend's birthday a month or 2 ago, and there was a guy there with his young daughter, like 6 or so? She had a doll and she was going around handing it to people, being like "it's your turn to hold her" and I just didn't know what to do. A lot of people find that really cute I guess, but I just took the doll and held it and pretended it didn't annoy me. Kids just make me uncomfortable cause they don't get social boundaries or something.

Or maybe it's me that doesn't get social boundaries.

Yeah as long as people can see you're trying they should sympathize. If they don't they're dicks anyway so it doesn't matter what you do.

As an elder cousin to around 10+ cousins, it's expected of me to interact with them whenever an occasion, major or minor. However, I'm also really good at taking care of them, especially babies, so I do like being around them, and if they do start crying, I just usually take them back to their parents.

For a while now, whenever I tried using my Blue Yeti microphone I'd end up with horrible, hissy-sounding audio. I kinda just chalked it up to me being lazy and not configuring it properly, but I finally recently looked into what was going wrong, looked up a ton of videos on how to fix the hissing, and nothing was working.
Today I finally managed to figure out that the right channel specifically was where the hissing was coming from. If I recorded something and played back just the left channel, it was crystal clear. So clearly something is defective with my unit. Apparently the Yetis are infamous for having bad soldering, so something might have broken inside.
I checked Blue's website, and apparently they have 2 year warranty on their devices. Thankfully I was smart when I bought it and kept the receipt in the box after purchasing, and the date of purchase will be exactly 2 years on the 28th of this month.

I sent a customer support ticket and hopefully they send me a replacement.
