XENOBLADE SEQUEL CONFIRMED ~~~ !
Maybe not to Xenoblade X like I hoped but still, goodness gracious I'm hyped. Breath of the Wild and Splatoon are looking good too.
Also, one of the translators sounded like they really needed a coffee before the show started. Or a pep talk.

Other title announcements are coming in. Sonic Mania, Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, Super Bomberman R (although I think that was in the presentation), Puyo Puyo Tetris, and Ultra Street Fighter II are ones that are also heading to Nintendo's new system.

super mario odyssey looks like all the best things about 64, sunshine and galaxy all rolled into one. it seriously looks so good, i'm not even upset about the lack of mother 3!
too bad it won't come out until the other end of the year, though.

I AM VERY DISGUSTED WITH THE TRASHY MAN. IN SPITE OF THE MONSTER, AND THE COACH, ONLY TRASHY, I WILL BEAT DOWN THEM ALL. FOR THIS I MUST STRENGTHEN MYSELF. THE MONSTER IS THE SAME TOO. COLLECT ALL THE TRASHY, RIGHTEOUS FELLOW ARE ALL UNPARDONABLE! YOU DON'T AFFECT ME. THE TRASHY STROLLING IS AN EYESORE!

Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
Was really hoping for a sequel to XBCX, but my tune might change after I play and finish XBC.
Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
The lack of any Metroid or F-Zero appearance at all left me kinda bummed, but the rest of what they showed was totally solid.
ARMS looks like it could be a lot of fun, a 3D fighting game with motion controls that actually has depth and advanced movement mechanics could really turn out to be amazing.
Super Mario Odyssey is exactly what the Mario series needed right now. It's completely off the wall and a really nice unexpected twist for the series.
Xenoblade 2 is a day 1 buy for sure, but I'm a bit worried about how long it'll be before that game actually comes out.
The new SMT game, the new SquareEnix IP, and the Skyrim port give me a lot of hope that the Switch will be a great console for RPGs.
That new Zelda trailer... omg I was literally in tears from that. BotW is shaping up to be possibly one of my all time favorite games.
As for the system itself, I'm okay with it. I like the idea of combining all of the features of every previous Nintendo system into one. I like that the JoyCon controllers include an advanced version of the Wii's motion functionality, without making the entire system revolve around that, so it gives the system a lot of flexibility and even makes it possible to have backwards compatibility with the Wii/WiiU games that made use of motion controls. And at the same time, the JoyCons are able to combine into a standard controller, so even if you aren't into motion control games those controllers will not be useless to you.
I'm hoping that they'll show some love to Metroid or F-Zero or some other poorly treated franchises later this year at E3. Who knows, they could still have some stuff up their sleeves that they are saving for later after all the hype from the big Zelda release has died down. We STILL don't know what Retro is working on.

Sorry mate but you might come across a LOT of opinions about this for a little while lol

Super Mario Oddyesy looks like the kick in the pants that the series needed.
Not sure about the hat with eyes, though.

I'm honestly hyped for the Switch, but not too hyped for the online payment ...

Edit, Alright, I think I offended a few people here. For the record, I'm sorry. I was being maybe 90% not serious, just expressing some of my concerns in an over the top way. I apologize if I got under anybody's skin. And after seeing ARMS stuff from the second event, it really turned me around, it looks pretty good!pholtos wrote:Thought Nintendo was better than this.

Girls are a hoax created by the Japanese anime industry to scam otaku out of their money.

because fun exists?Truhan wrote:ARMS pisses me off to no end. I can't even begin to explain how offensive it is that people would buy ARMS instead of taking boxing classes
that's kind of a big draw to video games. their whole non-utilitarian nature and everything. yknow, being games and all.
Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
The problem is when you're putting in gyro controls to emulate doing the actual thing. And doing it poorly. This is a different issue from playing Punch-Out!! vs actual boxing. And Punch-Out!! is plenty of fun, even 30 years later, why tack on gyro controls.Whimsical Calamari wrote:because fun exists?Truhan wrote:ARMS pisses me off to no end. Ayyyy. Good taste. I still haven't beaten Awakening. I've tried like 5 times. I lose interest every time. At least Conquest early game was good.Jesuiscontent wrote:I used to be tooTruhan wrote:I'm a Fire Emblem guy myself.Jesuiscontent wrote:Good lord I hope these rumors about Smash 4 Switch edition won't come true because I know I'll end up buying one of these just for it
I wish I could get over my love for Smash Bros because it's the only thing that keeps me even remotely interested in this trash company any more
Then Awakening happened
Also shoutouts to Nintendo for charging people to use voice chat on their cell phones. I just can't believe this.

I'm so turned off by paid online, that I'm not going to get a switch until Odyssey comes out.
can't forget this guy
Waaa.
Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
Huh? Where'd my post from last night go? Oh well, I'll just write it again.
The Switch presentation was really good. The only real negative that was there (other than that one translator) is the paid online. I can understand that the servers cost money, and that Nintendo held out as long as possible, but it's still a real bummer. They spoiled us with the Wii, Wii U, DS and 3DS having free online.
Its only online play that has to be paid for, not online everything, right?
Shame there was no mention of Streetpass, that was one hope I had. Seems pretty unlikely now.
