Here's one more level in the midst of editing some of my lesser levels and schoolwork...

Crystal Fortress Approach Difficulty: Hard ID: EA29-0000-0222-E726

So... I realized I hadn't used ice at all. And that I didn't really do a real build up to any stage yet. Hence why you're all seeing this. I like to think that this is my best effort yet, with a sense of adventure and peril right at the frozen doorstep of.... a certain someone. A checkpoint's there in case of death after the flight, which will no doubt be appreciated by those playing through this...

I'm wondering if things have changed, but I haven't touched this game in months and probably won't anymore.

I probably won't touch it until quality control happens and the top ranked all time are not blasted automatic/music/don't touch anything/quiz levels.

I probably won't touch it until overall levels aren't terribly made.

In other words, I probably will never touch the game again.

A lot has changed as far as things you can put in the game, but not sure what you mean. I just play Expert, sometimes Normal, and usually get decent levels (Expert is a little easier since Super Expert came out but you can always skip levels that aren't). Of course, the ones I've played from people here are good too. You don't have to pay attention to anything else.

It's very easy to enjoy the game while ignoring the mass amounts of terrible levels. Just bookmark levels recommended from here or other forums where people generally have higher standards than the mainstream MM community, and don't even bother with the Top Ranked or 100 Mario challenge.

Let me breathe deeply on this thread... *WOOOOOOSH*
...Better. Now, let's see the menu of courses today. EDIT: First two links are now defunct. I'll edit up the new links in a bit.

Castle of Bad Rotations v.2 (B753-0000-023E-4EC5)

Yes, all three are recreations. This is the one that has changed the least, but I felt that there were still improvements to be made. Namely, the second platform ride, and the stupidly fast firing rates of Piranha Plants on tracks. I needed to cut that number quite a bit. But now I'll leave it be for a while...

Ghost House Geist Fight (6585-0000-0242-21F5)

Oh boy, where do I start... This was actually one of my weaker levels, believe it or not. But then I realized, thanks to seeing a playthrough of this, that there were huge underlying issues. Every single section has been altered in some fashion. And the boss.... is now pretty great. Instead of infested with stupid wizards. Because wizards are clearly a bad and unreliable element... most of the time.

Acrobatic Airship Action (B54E-0000-0242-2FFB)

I changed the final jumps. Now an average joe has a shot of actually clearing this. Also, there's a checkpoint, but that already existed. Everything else that was said about this was covered in previous posts.

I now have access to this game and decided to get my Obligatory Costume Level out of the way first. It's made by a certified MaGLX2 mapper so you know it's some sort of level!

Just dumping here a couple raocow-related recreations:

73A0-0000-004C-55EF: Horrifying Lakitu Thunderdome (Super Talking Time Bros.)
5141-0000-0053-1483: Night Robbery (MaGL) (heavily simplified)
E9CE-0000-006C-E674: Edge of the Night (one of my levels from A2XT)

Plus a couple levels which might prove interesting:

6043-0000-00BA-8957: a thing with Thwomps
9F20-0000-0221-B7E1: a thing with high heels
A59E-0000-032E-458E: a thing with fast swimming

I also tend to remix levels from other games, have a look at my full profile if you're interested.

If you wish to give feedback please do it on Miiverse as I am not active here anymore. Your call if you want to add these on the spreadsheet anyway.

Back in the shadows.
