I just downloaded the demo and am so confused. Was Pokémon always this absurd? I just couldn't take any of it seriously from the "gang" members flashing gang signs at me (I mean, were they talking or directing aircraft?) to the shirtless Professor. And are Pokémon trainers Power Rangers now?

That's what I'm thinking. I ask questions and I get answers that are open to interpretation.

You know what? I'm just going to interpret those answers however I want. So no, the games have never been this weird, this one's looking to be the weirdest of the bunch.

With a move called "Dark Lariat", I'm almost a bit surprised that it ISN'T fire/fighting. It still looks like it'll get a lot of fighting moves that won't benefit from its typing.

I called the water/fairy typing right when they introduced Popplio but the other two took me completely by surprise.

In other news though Decidueye is rapidly climbing the list of my all-time favorites. It's not going to unseat my top three but we'll see just how all-time-favorite it gets after I actually play the game.
