Re: Everything Music *Official Music Thread*
I downloaded the Iji "high quality" sound track. Unfortunately, it's not really high quality at all, which sucks because the songs themselves are really good. Maybe I can get used to it.
In other news, Árstíðir is what I'm mostly listening to currently. They play Acoustic Folk with some Prog mixed in there and are ridiculously good. Y'all should check them out, especially their first album, to which you can listen here: http://www.arstidir.com/lp1-arstidir

I spent some time listening some old Finnish folk songs (First half of 2000 and earlier). Some of them still had some nostalgia left. Mostly stuff I used to hear on the radio, and the tv music channel.

Currently I've been listening basically to Queen and David Bowie... Basically just classic rock and whatnot.
For anyone who likes the classic rock style, but wants a new band, I'd suggest the Sheepdogs.

Gonna dump most of my favorite Cheshyre songs here because he's an amazing electronic / techno artist.

Pet Shop Boys first new single from their upcoming Super album The pop kids is coming in three digital bundles each with a PSB mix of the single, a third party remix of the single, and three new B-sides later this month, along with a CD and 12" vinyl. Not many artists bother with singles these days let alone give them a ton of bonuses but PSB still do and they're amazing for it.

A bunch of missed notes, but the FURY is definitely there. The cadenza in the first movement is one massive unleash, and when the orchestra comes back in.

Meh, sounds like a Rammstein knock-off.

Technically, Rammstein's debut came out two years before Megaherz's. The latter had demos out before that, though.Truhan wrote:Both bands put out their first album in the same year.Piter Lauchy wrote:Meh, sounds like a Rammstein knock-off.

Re: Everything Music *Official Music Thread*
I dunno man. Rammstein's last album was garbage. I'd listen to Zombieland for days. You couldn't pay me to listen to Liebe Ist Für Alle Da. The only tolerable track on it is Ich Tu Dir Weh.Piter Lauchy wrote:Technically, Rammstein's debut came out two years before Megaherz's. Re: Everything Music *Official Music Thread*
Well, ultimately, it comes down to taste. I agree that Liebe ist für alle da has more weak songs than any other of their albums (coincidentally, I think Ich tu dir weh is one of those), but I don't consider it a bad album at all. Weak Rammstein songs are still pretty good, in my opinion.
I can't really define what bothers me about Megaherz. Their music doesn't feel "genuine" to me. Plus, their singer sounds like every other German singer that does dark/medieval stuff.

That's not very fair, all of them sound the same because they're all ripping off Laibach.Piter Lauchy wrote:Plus, their singer sounds like every other German singer that does dark/medieval stuff.

Someone introduced me to Dorothy today and now I'm addicted.
I'm usually not big on female vocals. I want to be, but most don't really do it for me.
This one, though. Fantastic voice and she knows exactly how to use it.

What a fine piece. I've always been a fan of Classical music, so much that I have it in my car radio 75% of the time.LHB wrote:

I've recently been getting addicted to the Electro/Funk/Chill/Synth/House/and Disco genres and I was wondering if there's anyone here who's a fan of any? Some recent songs I've found:
House/Techno - Adrian Lux - "Teenage Crime"
Trip Hop/Electro Swing/some dubstep - Gramatik
House/Electro - Parov Stellar (Possibly one of my favorite discoveries... ever!)
The village cowered, the forest scattered, even the monster was horrified.

This is my favorite new discovery and I want the world to know it!
But now I am listening to the soundtrack for JUMP, wow is it good.
