I actually eat gumbo without seafood in it usually. But that's also just because I've only eaten it from my mom's cooking due to being overseas, and she likes it that way because when she was growing up her family's gumbo had squirrel in it.

I actually don't mind seafood that much, to be honest. Salmon and Tuna are hard to mess up. Shrimp is pretty good. And Catfish just kinda needs some seasonings for it to work out. And then Hush puppies.

I'm actually unhappy with this dude for the same reason I was unhappy with the other chick: it seems less like "I want to understand what these people really go through so I will become one of them" and more "Hey, they have this cool exclusive club, maybe they'll let me in if I pretend to be one of them OOPS I GOT CLOUT NOW" - bear in mind she was like an officer or something in her org and he's being billed as a major voice for Black Lives Matter or something.
