Re: Did you Know?
Xylophobia is the fear of wood, forest, trees, wooden forests, wooden trees, forest trees, and wooden forest trees.
Subpodophobia is the fear of objects that are less than a foot in length.
Phobophobia is the fear of fear itself, so phobophobes are probably scared of phobophobia.
I don't know what the fear of bigotry is called, so I'll just call it intoleraphobia for now.
There's this fear-themed puzzle game I got from Big Fish Games called "Sable Maze: Twelve Fears". It inspired me to make this post.

Homophobia however is not a fear of things that are the same as eachother or oneself, it is only an epithet hurled at people with certain political views to belittle them.
Transphobia similarly is not a fear of transformation, nor even a fear, just a political epithet.

Yes, but they are epithets for certain types of bigotry. Homophobes and transphobes are probably suffering from an unwarranted fear of political corruption.Nathan the Talkmaus wrote:Homophobia however is not a fear of things that are the same as eachother or oneself, it is only an epithet hurled at people with certain political views to belittle them.

The person that designed the raptors in Jurassic World and the person that decided the raptors from Jurassic World should have DNA from modern birds were clearly not on the same page.

Drilling circles into someone's head to "let out evil spirits" was considered to be a way to cure mental illnesses.

The Inklings from Splatoon are a sort of parallel to the squibbons from The Future is Wild, as both are land-dwelling species of squid that have inherited the planet after humanity's extinction.

"average person eats 3 spiders a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

In Finnish...
...a cucumber is called kurkku, which also means throat.
... a novel is called romaani and a short story is called novelli.
... a dragon is called lohikäärme, which literally means "salmon snake"

Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.

Bees can calculate the shortest route between flowers with the same processing speed as a computer, if not faster. Their brains are also the size of a sesame seed.
