I'd rather the Earth escaped its orbit. This is an awful neighborhood. Maybe one of the nearby stars has a better one.kingmetaknight1 wrote:Let's all go on a trip around the sun again, ready set go!
This is the loophole that we need to exploit if raocow ever says anything like "this is the last year that I'm LP'ing" :DAlice wrote:I'd rather the Earth escaped its orbit. That's actually exceptionally unlikely. On another forum I frequent the subject of the Andromeda-Milky Way collision coming up in like a billion years or so came up and someone mentioned that we're unlikely to see even two stars collide during that to which someone called bullshit. I went and looked up the statistics and if you go by average star sizes and distances between stars, the galaxy is stupidly empty. An average star an average distance from its nearest neighbor only has a field of influence equivalent to 1/1000th the distance between the two.Willhart wrote:It's full of stars. I really hope we don't hit any of them.

That's some really freaking unfortunate luck to have that be happening now to them.Whimsical Calamari wrote:I just saw a neighbor's house burn down.
I watched it as the roof collapsed.
It's impossible to put into words how it feels to see that, even knowing that everyone's ok.
Just seeing something familiar that you used to drive by every day, slowly falling apart right in front of you.
