Re: Copy Kitty - Imitation is the besterest form of flattery
I lost the battle a few times on Hard Mode and my score stayed the same when I restarted. You may want to recheck that; maybe whatever fix you have isn't applying to both difficulties and/or both characters?

oh well, this is why the game is still in development
Me and Raibys made Copy Kitty! Now we're working on another game, about fruit and hugs.

Re: Copy Kitty - Imitation is the besterest form of flattery
Nice job with the no damage run! I always had a lot of trouble with the enemies in the starting area, whether I used Boki or Savant. What I ended up doing was just rushing to the middle area, killing one of the pentagram guys, and then using Quick to clear some space. The Eclipse Virs was tough, I ended up stumbling onto a way to use Wave and Split windows to hit him while I was above the barrier.
And yes, Savant is really helpful for perfecting levels. He's got his quirks, but flight and teleport-dodging are just incredibly useful in general. I got my 100% in large part thanks to him.
Good luck in the Extra World!

I think starting with version 1.8, Savant becomes better than Boki in pretty much every way.
Re: Copy Kitty - Imitation is the besterest form of flattery
Except that Savant doesn't have as much power to destroy the world by accident. As far as I can tell, accidental world-destroying potential is why Savant recruited Boki in the first place.KirbyComment wrote:I think starting with version 1.8, Savant becomes better than Boki in pretty much every way.

Yeah, story-wise Boki is indeed better at destroying the world. But in terms of in-game abilities and getting requirements with ease, Boki gets overshadowed by Savant by quite a bit.GauRocks wrote:Except that Savant doesn't have as much power to destroy the world by accident. Even gameplay-wise, Boki tends to have an easier time getting really good weapon combinations; in general, her Split weapons and Tornado weapons are far more destructive than Savant's. There are levels where I found that more useful for getting requirements, although admittedly not that many.

I don't blame you for not wanting to rerecord the no damage run, this is a tough stage to get it on. I'm not surprised it took you half an hour. Congratulations on pulling it off!
I hope we don't get similar technical problems on tomorrow's stage - it's a neat stage, but also fairly long.

Re: Copy Kitty - Imitation is the besterest form of flattery
I think Boki is better at dealing with pure chaos, Savant kinda needs space to work, but if he gets it, he's better. But Savant is better in general.

Good job on the no-damage run! My method for dealing with the Fallen Angel was to let the reaper power up so it dropped Harvester when I beat it. Then I just rushed the angel with Harvester to kill it fast. I think I might have actually needed to hit it twice, but that still struck me as easier than a prolonged fight.

And here we have the Fallen Gehligrukai. I think it was mentioned before but you need to defeat one of these (either on endless mode or hard mode since they don't show up on normal mode) to unlock the extra world.

I just played to the end of the Extra Missions and I support the notion of playing the boss as Savant first.
Can you comply, raocow? It's a good idea someone else had!

I will agree as well. Believe us, raocow, it will make the final battle more climactic.Minnakht wrote:I just played to the end of the Extra Missions and I support the notion of playing the boss as Savant first.

I agree with the people who are agreeing with me that you should do the boss with Savant first.
Nice job on today's level. I don't remember a lot about my own run; it's probably the easiest EX World level to perfect. Not that the two Fallen Angels aren't hard to deal with, but overall it doesn't have nearly as many trouble spots or enemies as previous levels.
Tomorrow's level is pretty crazy, though. Good luck with it.

The one enemy you missed the first time was a small little shadow guy.

Nicely done! I think the main reason you got the score was just going through the stage faster, although killing something with Supernova would have helped.
(Also there was a blue arrow pointing to the Supernova target when it was offscreen.)
One stage to go! Looking forward to it. I believe we've already made our collective opinion clear on how you should handle it.

He never actually seems to notice anything but the red arrows.Dragon Fogel wrote:(Also there was a blue arrow pointing to the Supernova target when it was offscreen.)

Welp, that's that... for now anyway.
Here's hoping the next version comes out soon, because I want to see and experience this new Hard Mode.

I laughed pretty hard at "oh no I won by accident".
Congratulations on finishing, and with the vast majority of the cookies! I'm sure you've got the skill to get the rest. It's just a question of how long it's going to take.
There's no Hard Mode version to EX-6 at the moment, so you just get awarded credit for clearing it on Hard Mode when you finish on Normal. Hopefully that will change at some point.

The second entry reads as follows, if anyone is curious:
EDIT: Hey, I finally found what the heck Omega weapons are!
The only challenge left I have to complete is "True Mastery of Video Games"... and I have little idea what it could be. My first instinct appears to be incorrect.

Can you also decode the level's name and the three weapons you get from the Ulsevs?
"WITH THE BURNING SPIRIT OF MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND SUNS!"
The above quote contains enough ham and cheese to feed a family of five for one week. Or to be featured in Epic Meal Time.
