A major problem with the current setup you uploaded with a specific mini-boss guarding the big key:
  • Gohma (L3) (The Orange Cyclops Blob thing) has "Block if < 4" for arrow, which it is only weakness.
  • The Wooden Arrows have only 2 damage.
While overlooked, it took me ages what was wrong with how I was fighting the Gohma (L3), so I looked and find that my arrows are too weak to damage the boss, making a big roadblock in progress. A simple fix with silver arrows instead (which I might use) would solve the problem. That, or I'm missing something within the dungeon itself, or you chose the wrong Gohma for that part.

Ah, sorry!!!!!!!!

Fixed it up in a jiffy! I changed the L3 Gohma's arrow defense to "(None)". The dungeons are supposed to be clearable even without all the optional upgrades, are they not?

They are meant to be clearable without the upgrades, just difficult, and the fact that a L3 Gohma will take 12 wooden arrows to put down makes it an incentive to get upgrades. What are we doing with arrow upgrades? I assumed we were going the NES route of giving out the silver arrows in the final dungeon but we could give them out or sell them in Overworld 2 and then give the golden arrows in the final dungeon.

Selling them seems to be the best idea in the overworld.

Should I lower its HP, or just leave it be?

Also, should I upload my dungeon to the Dropbox now?

To replace the now-outdated one, yes.

Yeah, you should lower it's HP, mainly due to no reliable sources for arrows to appear.

I lowered it from 24 to 16 HP. Is that good?

I also lowered the L2 Gohma's HP to 8 to reduce the amount of arrows needed in the dungeon.

This way, only 16 will be needed. Shouldn't be too hard to get that amount by just going through the dungeon normally.

Just uploaded it to the dropbox folder, by the way!

Alternatively, you could mess around with scripts to create infinitely respawning bushes with arrows in them like my boss has bomb-dropping bushes. Did you modify Gohma's HP or create a new enemy like Gohma and modify that? Because someone else may be using Gohma unmodified. I don't know if they are though.

As another alternative you could give an easy source of arrows right before the boss, like an in-dungeon shop or something. If people run out of arrows during the fight then they've gotta git gud as I believe the slang goes.

Oh god why didn't I think of that

Thanks, I restored the Gohmas' original HP amounts and uploaded the changed version to the dropbox folder!!!!

P.S. The text in the shop is a reference to Super Milk Chan.

Hi. I think I'm kinda done with my dungeon?

If you find anything that could use more polishing or fixing, feel free to alter it yourselves, if you want.
I won't mind!

I shortened the 2D section, and used some suggestions Nabe gave me a few months back.

I also replaced the text in the shop because it was lame ( º3º)

This feels nicely polished, plays a lot tighter. The enemy choices have been dialed back to a set that feels fitting, and I love that there are so many more trees in the 2D section, which shows off how neat they look.

The only things I might do to this are adding some of the custom enemy types/sprites you talked about before, and I'll finish up the Patra sprites as well.
